We specialize in bathroom, kitchen and condominium renovation. We alsoeemodel bedrooms, livingrooms, as well as total gut rehabs. We are skilled in all types of carpentry. Painting

"The quality of the work was good. But my one bathroom was promised to be done in 4 weeks took 8. That is a long time when it's your only bathroom. George also did not want to use the tile I had picked out because it was new and modern and I believe he did not know how to work with it. The communication was terrible and he expected me to take off work at the last minute to pick out a counter-top with him in the suburbs when I had been asking to do it for over a month. I know all construction is frustrating, but why make it worse. The gentleman that works with him is fabulous! To bad I never was able to get his number."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

The cost to dig a trench ranges from $400 to $1,200 per 100 linear feet, depending on the soil, depth, and width. Plan to spend $5 to $12 per linear foot for trenching (it’ll be on the higher end if you have rocky soil). Renting a trencher costs $100 to $250 per hour, depending on the type of trencher.

You should dig 3 to 6 inches deep for plastic edging. Dig as wide as you need to fit your plastic edging into it—2 inches is usually sufficient.

Professional installers often include a deep layer of crushed gravel under permeable pavers to allow more runoff to soak through into the soil below. Many installations will include multiple layers of gravel, with coarser aggregate at the base and finer aggregate that sits on top of that bottom layer. Above the gravel, you’ll often find coarse sand that helps reduce paver shifting over time. Some permeable paver designs include a water collection system set into the gravel layer to route runoff to a safe area for disposal.

It’s possible to transplant trees as tall as 50 feet when an experienced tree planting service uses the right equipment. However, a tree with a trunk larger than two or three inches in diameter needs to be handled by a professional in order to yield successful transplanting results. Consulting a tree planting professional is the best way to tell if your large tree can be safely transplanted.

Yes, trenchers can go through gravel. Gravel is made up of smaller, softer rocks that certain trenchers are able to cut through. Just be sure to use a rock wheel trencher or chain trencher, both of which are made to cut through rocky landscapes and gravel pathways without dulling the teeth or chain.
