"I purchased an electric tankless and pre-filter/softener directly from the manufacturer and started hunting for a plumber to install it. Now most all plumbers recommended against a tankless hot water heater, and Maplewood wasn't really any different in this regard. BUT, they listened to us, didn't treat us like idiots, and obliged us in our foolishness and they were really awesome. They did the job quickly and without a mess. Also, WE LOVE OUR NEW TANKLESS HOT WATER HEATER! I looked at our electric bill after 2 months (March-April) of using our Stiebel-Eltron E-tankless whole-house water heater unit, and the kW usage actually DECREASED from one year ago for those same two months. That’s right, there was no increase in our electric bill. As expected, our gas usage decreased. My wife was very worried because she often ended up talking to the plumber issuing the dire warnings and predictions about our silly misguided endeavor to get a tankless unit. "I took advantage of Angie's List free home inspection for mold and water. Paul was to arrive at noon and called and asked if he could arrive at 11:30 which was fine. My husband and I were both home for the inspection and boy did we learn a lot. We felt that Paul was very knowledgeable. He reassured us that we don't have a big mold problem. He also gave us a list of things that we could do to improve the humidity and keep our basement from forming a mold problem in the future.   We've already completed all but one of Paul's recommendations. This company also does air duct cleaning which is why I initially joined Agie's List.  There are tons of scams out there regarding air duct cleaning. I wanted to find a reputible company to provide this service.  After working through the mold inspection with Paul, we feel that Absolute Clean will provide us with a good air duct cleaning. We plan to schedule that with them very soon.

"Every single item that he has done at my house has been beyond excellent. Always professional in his work and timely. I have not had any issues with any work he has done and will continue to use his services. He installed a sump pump after the sump pit filled up and my basement got water. He cleaned the excess water, left a fan to air dry the basement, installed a sump pump with drainage to outside the house perfectly. 
I needed my driveway power washed and entrance, he did it in a timely manner and it looked amazing.

"Initially, it went well. But I didn’t know what I didn’t know. The diagnosis of the problem was incomplete. Two large basement wall cracks (clearly visible at the time because wet dry wall had been removed) also contributed to the water issues and they were never discussed. In the fall of 2017, I came home from an overseas trip to find 2 inches of mud in my basement which had poured in over the drain tile installed by PermaJack. I reached out to the company a couple of times and was told I would be contacted the next week for an inspection. But this never happened. On the advice of my real estate agent, I turned to a different company for an inspection. The cracks were clearly diagnosed as a major issue. And when the drain tile/sump pump system installed by PermaJack was inspected, it was found that the drain tile was improperly installed. The pipe laying in the drain tile reservoir was twisted so that only a third of the holes in the pipe would even come into contact with water at any one time. In other words the system was easily overwhelmed and shouldn’t have been. In addition, the system should have been installed under the sill, the wooden board I left in place after ripping out the dry wall. Because it was installed in front of the sill, it never came into contact with the corner of the foundation and water could easily come into the basement over the drain tile. I realize at the time of the installation there was lots of water damage throughout St. Louis from the massive spring storm. But in retrospect, it seems like the job was rushed and for that reason it was not done properly. Also, when I reached out to the company to inspect their work, they were fairly unresponsive. They did say they would call me, but they never did."
