My technician Keith was great. Friendly and super informative. Also too a quick look at the entire drainage system and gave my an idea of where problems will pop up the future without preventative measures (my home was built in the 50s and while the previous owners took really good care of the house nothing has been gutted and replaced yet).

They charged me $99 to have a salesman come out and look at an outdoor faucet and give me an estimate. I would think any plumber could show up to a house and replace an outdoor faucet. Then they looked at the outdoor faucet and told me they would send someone over to replace the faucet and the charge would be $500+. I told them no thanks, I'll get someone else. Sparlin Plumbing did the job for $200. Today they called me for a follow up and told me based on the pictures I see it looks like the job was completed without a hitch. I had to tell the manager they didn't do any work at all. Their service is a total scam. They prey on people who are weak or in an emergency situation and don't have a choice. There is a reason they can send someone over immediately. The person that shows up is not a plumber. How could you afford to send a person that isn't a plumber to each call if you weren't charging ridiculous prices.
Response from Tiger Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, & Electrical Services
"[Member Name Removed], thank you for your feedback. Feedback like yours is priceless in helping our company, and technicians, improve upon our customer experience. Although our prices may seem high to you, they represent the utmost quality and professional service you won't receive from many other companies. The total price of the estimates we give include not only the parts but immediate service from a drug free, background checked, skilled technician in a fully stocked truck, capable of performing the work up to code during his visit, and warranty on the work performed from a company that has been in business for over 26 years. I’m glad you were able to fix the issue. We take special pride that when you hire us for your plumbing work, our entire company works hard to make sure your experience with us is hassle-free and enjoyable. We strive to make sure our customers are completely satisfied & I’m sorry that we didn’t meet your expectations. If you’d like to address this issue further, please contact our office."

Ill keep this as short as i can, which isn't short given the multitude of screw ups on Tigers part. Overall the turn time was good and setting the appointment was easy, however the experience left ALOT to be desired. The initial person who took my call did not properly record the issue as described resulting in the first tech being unprepared to resolve the issue and a subsequent visit from an advisor. The advisor drew up several service offerings and made a few recommendations for upgrades and enhancements to our existing system, including pointing out a possible safety issue. As part of that she made mention that they would have to remove a small portion of dry wall in the upstairs laundry closet to complete the flexible duct work which we agreed to. She scheduled the appointment for the work to be completed monday (it could have been done friday had the first call taker properly recorded the issue). The technician that showed up on monday was friendly enough however was unprepared to complete the work. Instead of a small hole in my laundry closet the duct work resulted in a hole in my kitchen ceiling spanning half the width of the kitchen, way more intrusive than what the advisor had set us up for. The technician also asked for my assistance multiple times, including to help pull duct work, which if im paying for a service, why do i have to help perform the service? The technician was also unprepared to clean up after himself as he needed to borrow my shop vac, paper towels, and cleaning spray. I guess his shop vac had been damaged on a previous job (again why am i paying you?). The technician also failed to perform all of the work that was paid for days in advance, more specifically they did not cap off the open flue from an old furnace which is a service that had been prepaid with the advisor. When asked about this the technician said he did not have the part, but if he came across one would "drop it off". After realizing this tiger was called requesting a refund for the unperformed work, at which point we were told "it could take up to a week for the supervisor to contact you to process that". Really? Your supervisors are too busy to ensure customer satisfaction in a timely manner, but you sure can come take someones money in less than 48 hours no problem.... I would not recommend them to anyone and definitely will not be using them again for anything. Attached is a picture of the small hole i was told would be left in my laundry closet. Please not that by laundry closet it ended up being kitchen ceiling, and by small hole, it was halfway across the kitchen.

I recently had my AC stop blowing on a 90 degree day. The coil inside the unit was frozen solid and would not allow air to pass through. I called Tiger, who quickly got someone out the same day. My service tech was Kyle A. and his manager Ryan W. was along with him. After about 30 minutes they reported that my Freon was low and decided to test for leaks. They came back and said that they could not find a leak, which is a major concern. They were quick to bash the initial installer and call out his work as bad. They said either he had not put enough Freon in the system initially; which would cause issues for years to come, or that we had a leak they couldn’t find with their tool. If it were a leak it would be expensive based on that they can’t find it easy and there would have to be something internally wrong. They then went out to check again and write me up some options. They then began a distasteful sales tactic. They presented me with two options. 1 - flush and refill the system to see if it holds. this was $1200. if it doesn’t hold then they would need to repair a leak which could be $1000 additional. They then quickly began to sell me on a new HVAC unit. My house is 3 1/2 years old and my AC is under warranty for another 1 1/2. They said that because the freon was low i’d have many problems and ultimately have to replace in the near future. I had also told them i’m considering selling the house in a few years; which in turn they said no homebuyer would want an HVAC like I have and they’d ask for discounts. They began the sales pitch of they are running a buyback program that would get me additional discounts and that there are lots of rebates available. They then pushed to have a consultant come out to see how much it would be to replace the system. Having given me such large numbers for repair, it’s only logical to explore total system cost. I agreed to a consultant and let them know that i wanted the original installer to look, as this was his install. They agreed and reminded me that he’d simply just add freon and bandaid my system. I’d always have problems. I called Viviano heating and cooling for a second opinion. The owner even called me at 5:30 that night to try to trouble shoot over the phone. The tech came at 10:00 a.m. the next day and quickly found a leak in the exterior coil causing the issue. It took him all of 15 minutes, where Kyle and Ryan spent 30 on the same coil and “couldn’t find anything”. The coil was covered under warranty, so i will have to pay for labor, but much cheaper than the $10,000 system that Kyle and Ryan were pushing me to. The sales practices are terrible by Tiger. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Always get a second opinion. They are clearly trained to sell you new systems. They price repairs extremely high so that you will consider purchasing new for a few thousand more. It’s a terrible practice and sad that a tech and manager are scheming people. It makes you wonder if they are on commission or get a kick back when they sell a new unit.

They are very expensive. He replaced a hose and charged me $400. The reason I did it is because I thought I had home warranty coverage.

it was a horrible experience...Drew was more focused upon future service instead of what he was hired for...He did not come with equipment the day scheduled and then tried to over sell the day he was hired. Unfortunately, I had to find a separate company to complete the job...they are not on Angie's list.

Original estimate for pipe repair was below $1,000 and estimate was for replacing section of pipe on interior of basement. The employee who provided the initial estimate left and provided a time for when the man performing the repair would be there to perform the repair. The estimator was within the time range given for his arrival but the 1st employee there to perform the repair was several hours late. The employee began chipping out concrete from the basement wall and then stopped and said the original estimator and the estimator's supervisor would return for a new estimate. The original estimator returned and the estimate bloomed to $3,500 and would require excavation from the exterior (outside of the house) and replacing the entire pipe through the basement wall. I'm well aware you can find unknowns when it comes to repairs but this wasn't a complicated repair and the original estimator should have not been this out of the ballpark. The $3,400 estimate included a spot repair (replacing a section of pipe) with a 2 year warranty. The $3,400 also includes the cost to replace the anode rod. For additional $1,000, $4,400 total, they offered to replace the entire line from the meter to leak in the basement wall. The distance from my water meter to basement wall is 20 ft and the water line is 3-4 feet deep. An extra $1,000 for 20 feet of additional line when the equipment is already there seems high. Due to the high cost of the estimate and the fact there original estimate was so far off, I told them I wanted to get some additional estimates. They said they would be back tomorrow to start the repair. I didn't have time to get quotes as it was now evening time (most other local plumbers were closed) and a few hours later, 2 other employees showed up with a bobcat and were wanting to start the repair. They replaced the line through my basement wall. They left ruts in my yard. After they had finished the repair I asked them when they were going to come back and seed the grass they disturbed from the excavation. They acted shocked I was asking them if they would come back and fix the yard. They came around and said they would come back after the soil has settled and fix the yard. The soil has not been settled for several week and I have my doubts they will be back to repair the ruts or the excavated area. The concrete patch around the new pipe penetrating the concrete wall is not flush with the existing concrete wall on the interior. I didn't get a chance to inspect the exterior. It had been backfilled before I got the chance. I can only hope they did a better job and properly supported the pipe and used hydraulic cement like the estimator and supervisor told me they would. All 3 times someone showed up throughout the day, no one called ahead to let me know they were on there way. This is contrary to them telling me each time they would call first. When I first called the employee on the phone asked for my email because she said they prefer to send invoices, estimates and other paperwork through email. I asked the estimator and those who performed the repair to email me the invoice with detailed items of work. They each said it would be emailed to me. I never recieved any emails from them except newsletters. I emailed them and requested it a few weeks back for my records. I still haven't not gotten it. Cost seems high considering actual repair time only took approximeatley 2 hours and 45 minutes. This is actual time working, doesn't include the time the 1st worker spent sitting in the truck waiting on the estimator and supervisor to return for the 2nd estimate. Replacing the anode rod took approximately 15 minutes and is not included in the above 2 hours and 45 minute. Material costs should have been minimal which means either there equiptment, labor, or overhead costs are extremely high. However, hard to break any of this down when you aren't provided an invoice. They did finish the repair the same day. It wasn't exspected but the extra effort by there employees to get it done was appreciated. Photos: 2 of the photos are of the rutting in the yard. Not significant but deep enough that mower blade hits the ground while mowing. The third photo shows the settled trench. The fourth photo shows the repair on interior where the pipe enters the basement wall.

By February 2012, less than a year after installation, I begin to have problems. So I called Mt Everest, and they come and fix things here and there, and I don't think much of it because other than the inconvenience of occasionally being too hot, it's not costing me too much money. =) Here are some of the receipts I could find... Mt. Everest - 2/16/12 - $194.12 Mt. Everest - 2/17/12 - $0.00 Mt. Everest - 2/18/12 - $0.00 --new company name-- Tiger - 1/22/13 - $210.00 (Became Club Member) Tiger - 8/16/13 - $0.00 Tiger - 5/16/14 - $0.00 (Waived/Warranty) Fast forward to October 2015, a little over four years after installation, I have a coolant leak somewhere that can't seem to get fixed, and Tiger has to keep recharging my "closed" system... the only difference is now I have to start paying for this service. (I guess Freon is expensive.) I start to panic because my family is undergoing financial hardships, and whatever money I once had went toward the air conditioner I purchased four years earlier. Thankfully, Tiger works with me on this, and I am grateful. However, they warn me that I will need to have the evaporator coils (???) changed out. EEEK! At this point, I am already $10,000 (plus) into this system, it is only four years old, and it is having major problems. Again, I have no money left, so I'm talking to lawyers, because from what I can understand from Tiger, it's a manufacturing defect, and now I have to pay Tiger tons of money (that I don't have) to fix something that shouldn't even be broken yet. (Warrenty still covered parts, but not labor.) Thankfully, Tiger comes through for me and I refrain from possibly taking legal action against manufacturers. On October 23rd, 2015, the coil gets swapped out. The technician thinks there might still be a leak somewhere, but nothing really comes of it. The parts are covered under warranty, Tiger is kind enough to waive the fee for labor. * * * * * The above gives Tiger five stars. I seriously had no money to pay them. I would have had to get a loan from somewhere. ...but... It is now July 18th, 2016, not even a year has passed since the installation of a new coil, and it is 74* in my house... I have the thermostat set at 70*. The temp coming out of the vents is around 68* - according to my meat thermostat. I have called Tiger, and we have an appointment for tomorrow. I fear that Tiger is going to tell me that I will need a recharged -- or new coils -- and I will have to pay them for service with money I still don't have. I'm praying everything still falls under a warranty. Pray for me, you all. I'll come update after my appointment and let you all know how it went. <3
