"Great job. Cole has done several jobs for me and I can say for certain not only does he do exceptional work he is always pleasant and professional. He gets the job done right and stands by his work all for a fair price. In real estate I always need a plumber and Cole does far more than that. He installed a new water filtration system, replaced toilets, replaced water heaters, fixed and replaced valves for sinks, faucets, and W/D lines and scoped and cleaned clogged lines, just to name a few. If you need a plumber who is honest, hard working and professional and won't break the bank give Method plumbing a try you wont regret it."

"I had both of my toilets backed up and reached out on Angis and Straight Shooter was the first to respond to my inquiry. They were able to send a technician out the same day and were able to fix my back up issue. I didn't realize my toilets were like 30 years old so they quoted me for replacements and when we decide to do that work we will call them again."

"The plumber initially used Tektite fittings and they didnâ t work. We went to the hardware store together and purchased Shark Bite fittings. They worked well. However, that added another 1-2 hours to the time to complete the repair. It would be better if Right Now Plumbing stocked the Shark Bite fittings."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Properly completed plumbing ensures your home meets state safety codes and protects occupants from health hazards. In the short term, thorough pipe insulation prevents burst pipes during harsh ID winters. Long-term benefits include protecting your property value in a highly competitive real estate market. Permitted work also ensures smooth municipal sewer integration and avoids mandatory remediation when selling or refinancing your home in the future.

Helpful?

When planning plumbing work, you must authorize and sign off on necessary city permits for new installations or major repairs. Your input is also required when deciding between municipal water connections and private well systems. Additionally, you should finalize fixture layouts early, as mid-project changes require amended permits. Finally, Post Falls homeowners with irrigation systems must choose proper backflow prevention devices to meet local requirements.

Helpful?

Standard city permits process in three to five business days. Inspection waits take one to three days. Simple plumbing tasks like water heater replacements take one day, while full home repipes require three to seven days. Keep in mind that frozen winter ground delays exterior work. Rapid growth in Post Falls means local professionals book up to four weeks out during peak seasons.

Helpful?

Gather your municipal water account number and locate your main shutoff valve and water meter. Document the age and type of your existing pipes, water heater, and whether you use city sewer or a private septic system. Take photos of known pipe routing in crawl spaces. Finally, note any history of pipe freezing or water damage, which is especially important for plumbing in Post Falls.

Helpful?

Start by verifying permit requirements with the city and confirming your contractor is state-licensed. Check your HOA rules before beginning exterior plumbing work. Because winter ground freezing in ID causes delays, schedule underground projects during warmer months. Always call the local dig line to locate existing utilities before excavation. Finally, coordinate required rough-in and final inspections early, as high demand extends project timelines.
