"Highly recommend FUSE Electric! Nate showed up on time, was easy to communicate with, and did a great job. Everything was done professionally and the pricing was very fair. FUSE Electric may be a newer company, but Nate has been doing electrical work for decades and it definitely shows. It was a great experience all around and we’ll definitely call him again for any future electrical work."

"They were super nice and great to work with. They came out for a different issue and I asked when we could schedule the installation of a new circuit in the garage. They said they had time right then and installed it while they were here. Flexible and dependable. I would and will hire again."

"Sean does a great job. He has helped me on numerous projects, including installing outlets and switches, programming smart Lutron switches, installing ceiling fans, installing 12 and 24 volt tape lighting, installing outdoor outlets in my yard, etc. He is very knowledgeable, works efficiently, has reasonable prices, and is honest and fair. As a solo electrician, his charges are far less than what you would expect from a larger company. I could not recommend an electrician more highly than Sean."

Generator Install questions, answered by experts

To power a central air system during a power outage, the whole-house generator will need to be at least 5,000 watts, and this number will significantly increase for larger units. Check the specific wattage requirements of your AC unit to choose the right generator size. Consider consulting a generator installer to ensure your whole-house generator meets your electrical load needs.

If you’re deciding between a solar battery versus a generator for the best backup power solution, you can take a few factors into consideration. Solar batteries are quiet while generators can be quite loud. Generators have a lower up-front cost, but they require fuel and ongoing maintenance while solar batteries are more expensive but don’t have many ongoing costs.

Yes. You can connect your home back-up battery to a generator with its designated charger. Be sure that the output of the generator matches the input requirements for the battery for best results.

If you have a transfer switch properly installed, the generator and main electrical power cannot feed the system at the same time. However, you should still shut off the power at your main circuit breaker panel before activating the generator. If you do that, you’ll simply need to shut off the generator and reset your circuit breaker once the local power comes back on.

While the rating will tell you how many watts the refrigerator needs at the peak of its cycle, it requires additional wattage to start. At the bare minimum, you’ll need a 1,500-watt generator to get the fridge up and running after a blackout. A 2,000-watt generator should be sufficient for most home refrigerators.
