"I must say that we are highly pleased with the work completed by Valor Home Solutions. Ammaron spent most of one day with us working on a plan as to what we wanted as a finished product. At the end of our meeting, we knew what to expect in regard to cost in material, labor, and quality of work. This project involved remodeling a very old bathroom. The old tub was removed, a new modern walk-in shower was installed with all new plumbing, a new floor was installed and deteriorated wood replaced where needed, and a new vanity was installed. Valor Home Solutions did an excellent job at keeping communication open throughout the project. Nothing was done without checking with us to make sure everything was to our expectations and satisfaction. Yes. You can tile over tile if the old tile is in good shape, but this will also create a thicker floor. As a result, you may have to remove and readjust baseboards and other room trimmings and potentially even raise door heights to work with the higher floors. Cutting stone comes with a number of safety hazards. First and foremost, if you’re not comfortable with the equipment required to cut stone, including blades and grinders, you could easily injure yourself. The heavy machinery also poses a risk to your ears if you don’t wear proper ear protection; similarly, you need to wear eye protection to keep debris from irritating your eyes.

However, the biggest risk from cutting stone comes from the stone dust. When breathed in, stone dust can be a huge hazard to your lungs. Always wear a face mask when cutting stone to prevent inhaling stone dust, and thoroughly clean the work area when you are finished.

To avoid injury, we recommend hiring a stone-cutting professional, rather than attempting this job yourself.
