"Total Drywall is our go-to for all sheet rocking and ceiling texturing. They have done our whole house, replacing all acoustic/popcorn ceilings with knock down/executive texturing. They also did a fantastic job in our basement, following sump pump failure. They replaced the lower portion of the sheetrock and textured all the walls in our finished basement. Total Drywall is very professional and always provide excellent workmanship. I highly recommend these guys!"

"Adam immediately responded to my call and scheduled an appointment the next day to give us an estimate for our drywall repair. We had a walk-in shower installed and needed the drywall repaired around the removed tub unit area. He completely matched the drywall and orange peel texture of the wall. During the job, he covered and protected the surrounding area and cleaned up afterwards. Plaster ceilings can sag for several reasons. Depending on how much adhesive was used as well as the strength of the adhesive, you may have some drywall damage when removing a mirror. You can typically repair most drywall damage if it’s small by sanding the damaged area, applying spackle to smooth the damaged section so it’s flush with the rest of the wall, and repainting the area.

Textured walls can increase the value of your home if the style is modern and seen as a desirable feature and not something a prospective buyer would need to remedy. A good example of this is popcorn texture versus Venetian plaster. The plaster wall would add value to your home, whereas the popcorn texture may be something a new buyer would want to remove.

You can put drywall mud over paint to even out the surface or entirely resurface it. Sand the surface with 280-grit sandpaper, vacuum the debris and dust with a shop vac, and clean it with a slightly damp cloth. Allow the surface to dry. Apply drywall primer, especially if you’re skim-coating an entire wall. Apply the right type of drywall mud over the surface and smooth it with a trowel. Allow the layer to cure fully, then sand it before applying another layer or painting it.

If the holes in the plaster are small, you can fill them with layers of patching plaster until they’re filled. After it dries, you can sand the plaster and paint over it. If the hole is much larger, consider using bonding plaster first and then a layer of patching plaster, completing the process with sanding and a layer of paint.
