"All Service Moving was exceptional. Great customer service - easy to schedule and flexible. Royce & Frost did an AMAZING job moving all of our very heavy and fragile belongings. They handled all of our requests and items with care and worked both efficiently and quickly. They were super friendly and very customer service oriented. I can't thank them enough for the GREAT job they did. I highly recommend All Service Moving for anything moving and/or storage related. And DEFINITELY request Royce & Frost to handle your job. Thank You!"

"So I hired these folks to help me unload a self-move U-Haul. I did help extensively with the unloading. I also moved six times in 10 years. While the workers were extremely nice, they did not arrive with basic moving gear: gloves, sliding pads, or hoist straps. They caused more damage than I'm comfortable with for a move. Furthermore, mid-transaction, the payment method changed, and the phone number became obsolete. I had concerns on the operational side."

Moving questions, answered by experts

To keep moving projects in Newton safe for everyone, set up a supervised play area for children away from moving zones, using familiar toys or activities. Transitioning to pets, arrange for a quiet room or temporary boarding to reduce their stress. Consider Newton’s variable weather—have indoor options ready—and double-check that fences and gates are secure before moving day begins.

Helpful?

Newton’s older homes often feature narrow staircases, low ceilings, or unique split-level layouts that can challenge moving large furniture. Check for tight corners, basement access, and the width of exterior doors. If you have mature landscaping or gravel driveways, moving trucks may have limited access. Consulting a local moving specialist can help you identify and address these specific layout concerns.

Helpful?

In Newton, homeowners often underestimate how quickly weather can change, leading to slippery sidewalks or muddy driveways on moving day. Forgetting to arrange parking for moving trucks on narrow streets or skipping required permits can cause delays. Overlooking utility scheduling and not informing local waste services about extra debris are other frequent issues. Proactive planning tailored to Newton’s unique conditions helps prevent these setbacks.

Helpful?

In Newton, successful moves balance function and style by protecting original hardwood floors and trim during the process, especially in historic homes. Movers often plan routes that avoid damaging landscaping or garden beds. Ensuring storage areas and HVAC access remain clear while respecting the home’s architectural features helps maintain both practicality and curb appeal, which is valued in many Newton neighborhoods.

Helpful?

In Newton, tailor your inspection routine to local conditions. After winter, check driveways and walkways for cracks caused by freeze-thaw cycles. In summer, inspect HVAC systems and ensure attic ventilation is adequate for moving day comfort. Fall is ideal for cleaning gutters and sealing windows, while winter requires planning for snow removal and safe pathways for movers, especially on sloped or shaded driveways.
