"I have a mixed review. There was an initial site survey done by Ron M. He gave me estimates of $48k, 23k and 13k. I almost walked away from my new Electric vehicle. I had to suggest the option I went with, to replace my electric range with a gas line run to install a gas range in my kitchen. I did so at a cost of $890 for the range and $1508 for the gas line. Before we settled on this bid, I asked about the former hot tub that was behind my garage. Ron didn?t listen to my input and said it was probably 110v and I asked since my house was bought by me from my Mom when my grandma died. I knew that it was heated and had a 220 circuit. Ron was not the installer on the day of the install, the two gentlemen that did the install did GREAT WORK! 100%! When they were done, the older electrician told me that there was good news, after me spending $2400 for a new gas stove and a gas line, that they used the hot tub line to install my EV charger Ron didn?t listen to a word I said cost me more$"

The Jensen family’s history in electrical work spans three generations. It began with Kyle’s grandfather, who spent 47 years as a maintenance electrician with Mountain Bell. That dedication to craftsmanship continued with Kyle’s father, a well-respected electrical contractor in Southern Utah. Following in their footsteps, Kyle entered the trade early—starting as an apprentice at 16, earning his Journeyman license in 2002, and achieving his Master Electrician license in 2006. With that deeply rooted family foundation, he brings decades of hands-on knowledge to every project.\n\n

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Before starting electrical projects in Newton, confirm which permits are needed and ensure your plans align with local code requirements. Schedule utility marking before any digging and coordinate with your service provider for any necessary shutoffs. Obtain multiple quotes from licensed professionals, set aside extra time for older homes, and clear work areas in advance. Planning inspections early and considering seasonal weather will help your project stay on track.

Helpful?

In Newton, address electrical issues promptly if you notice warning signs like frequent breaker trips, burning smells, or flickering lights, as these indicate potential hazards. Projects required for insurance compliance or to correct code violations should not be delayed. If you’re planning upgrades for future appliances or energy efficiency, these can be scheduled, but avoid postponing essential repairs past fall to prevent weather-related complications.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in Newton offers immediate safety improvements, especially for homes with outdated wiring or panels. In the long term, you’ll benefit from increased energy efficiency, which can help lower utility bills and reduce maintenance needs. Upgrading your electrical system also ensures compliance with current codes, supports future smart home or renewable energy installations, and can make your property more attractive to buyers in the Newton market.

Helpful?

Newton’s weather can influence the timing and type of electrical projects you undertake. Cold winters make outdoor work challenging, while spring storms increase the risk of power surges and outages. Installing whole-home surge protection and ensuring proper ventilation for electrical components are smart precautions. Fall is often the best season for exterior updates, as it avoids both extreme cold and storm-related delays common in Newton.

Helpful?

Combining electrical work with other upgrades in Newton is a practical way to streamline your project. For example, updating wiring while remodeling a kitchen or adding insulation allows for easier access and fewer disruptions. Coordinating projects can also help you schedule one inspection and minimize downtime. Planning ahead with your contractor ensures all upgrades are compatible and can reduce the risk of needing repeat work later.
