Concrete Leveling
Out of the two pads that needed significant leveling, only one turned out well. Also, what was supposed to be a 2 day job only took 4 hours; this leads me to believe the labor was over-estimated by a factor of 3. Meaning, I over-paid significantly.

Basement Waterproofing, Foundation Repair
We did a lot of research prior to hiring Thrasher and we were not disappointed. Frankly I had been in denial (and fear) about the work I knew we needed done on our Midtown Omaha home because I was so concerned about the cost and impact on our brick Tudor. We had a crack in the brick near our garage and our basement had been leaking for a number of years with hard rains. From the start of the process, Thrasher was outstanding in terms of communication and education about what they do. Before we met with our Systems Design Specialist, Anthony, we had received e-mails and calls to confirm the date, along with a packet of educational materials about home foundations and waterproofing. When Anthony came to our home, he was very professional and performed a full inspection about our concerns. He prepared an estimate and we selected what was best for us following a thorough review of options he presented. The foundation work was completed first in ONE day. The basement waterproofing was completed the next week over a two-day time frame. The workers were very professional and arrived at the time they arranged with us. In regard to the basement waterproofing, we discovered one small issue. They came out immediately to correct this and all has been worked wonderfully since. We are very pleased with their work and commitment to customer service. Highly recommend Thrasher to anyone considering foundation or waterproofing work.

Concrete Repair
Buyer beware-Thrasher is NOT a customer service-oriented company!!! We contracted with Thrasher for a driveway resurface and crack repair of both driveway and garage floor. We were initially impressed because they offered a 5 year warranty for the work. (They deliver a slick hard-sell presentation.) We wanted to be able to epoxy the garage floor after the repair, which involved another contractor and shared this with the salesman during the sales pitch, before we forked out a HEFTY deposit. When the epoxy contractor could not lay the coating over the repaired garage floor, we notified Thrasher of this issue and cancelled the contract-a full 2 ½ weeks before the scheduled work. At that point, I was reminded of the fact that the contract states deposits are non-refundable after 3 days. Even with these extenuating circumstances, there will be NO REFUND. When we contacted another contractor for garage floor and driveway replacement, additional damage was found that would NOT have been addressed by the Thrasher work. They didn’t even identify all the problems during the initial evaluation and estimate process. My heart-felt advice is to avoid Thrasher for any home repairs needed. They have a lot of glamorous brochures and spend a lot of money on advertising, so this must be because they have so few satisfied customers. Our new cement contractor just shook his head when he heard Thrasher was involved, so that must tell you something.

The Thrasher guys came out and did the job quickly. In retrospect probably too quickly. While the basement waterproofing has been fine, we have had 4 instances where we got muddy water in through the egress window. This was a service that cost me $50k to have done. Now I’m being told that I need to landscape and reconfigure the gutters on the side of the house with the egress. If I had been told that information up front, I would not have put the egress window in. It was very expensive and now I’m stuck with a glassy hole in my wall that leaks. If this is not resolved this summer I will seek legal recourse. I feel like I threw away 50k on this project.

Basement Waterproofing
The only reason this company gets an overall grade of C and not an F is because they are prompt and professional with emails, phone calls and showing up on time. We contacted this company (1 of 3 companies) to help us assess why we were having water issues in our basement, mostly in one concentrated area where our furnace, water heater and water softener are located. Long story short, the sales person assessed that we needed a very expensive sump pump. He also tried to sell us every other thing imaginable related to repairing basement water issues. By the time his bid was done, it was sitting at $17,000! He was very professional and took the time to look around in the basement and had an impeccable computer presentation but we were shocked at the upsell. Since then, we've had 2 other consultations with the 3rd one being today. When we told today's salesman about our issues, he said he had really good news for us. He said the water issues we were having was more than likely a clogged floor drain. So he asked if he could turn on the water softener (which is normally programmed to run at night), and we said sure. Once he turned it on, the floor drain began to overflow. He asked us to watch it through it's cycle which takes about an hour. He left and sure enough, after about 45 minutes, I heard it at it's loudest point and went down to find water all over the floor in that area. So what will thankfully only cost us a minimal amount could have cost us thousands of dollars had we went with Thrasher.

Thrasher employees had to come three times after water kept leaking in below an egress window. It is clear that not all employees have the same level of expertise; the very experienced lead employee on the third team knew immediately why the work from the second visit had failed and explained it to us in a way we could understand. While I am very disappointed that three visits were necessary and I have not dared reconstruct my basement, Thrasher was always pleasant and attentive when we notified them of problems, and the basement is completely dry now.

Foundation Repair, Basement Remodeling
There were 4 appointments in total. All were on time. The first was the salesperson who recommended anchors along the back wall and carbon armor on the side walls of the basement. I also ordered an egress window with drainage basket and a cover. The first crew came to install the carbon armor and arrived on time. All were friendly. They completed on time and cleaned up. However, they stapled their plastic sheeting into the drywall at the back entryway to my house. When they pulled the sheeting off they left staples and pieces of plastic in my walls and door frames. I reported the issue and they said the next crew would remove the staples. They also informed me that they can't mix anchors and carbon armor so I would need carbon armor along the back wall instead of anchors. The salesman assured me they were compatible. The next crew arrived on time to install carbon armor along the back wall. They were also friendly and covered everything in plastic to protect against dust. They removed most of the staples left in the drywall by the first crew but not all. They also took out a small chunk of drywall. There was also a miscommunication about where to install the carbon armor so one was installed in the wrong place. They refunded my cost on that one. The final crew came to install the egress window. Also friendly and professional. However, they put holes in my siding, a hole in a vinyl fence post, and damaged the line from my heat pump that runs into my house. They also had something on my lawn that killed the grass in a 5 x 8 area. Nobody ever came to inspect the final work on any of the appointments. In looking closely at the carbon armor strips one was anchored to the wall going over a water line that runs up to my refrigerator in the kitchen above. The egress window has a small section that was not fully caulked and the track where the window slides does sit flat. They were very responsive in reimbursing me for all the repairs but it was a lot of extra work on my side to have to arrange all the repair appointments.

Great Job We needed some work done and at the home show we chatted with Thrasher and had an appointment set , the estimator came wrote a contract, so far normal right , well here is what impressed me. they came to do the work and a glitch accord, after a phone call to me and a conversation the crew took care of the issue and completed the job. And to a standard you don't see any more. The amount of money was large to me but not the largest job they do, buy was done as if was a million dollar one!

Basement Waterproofing
There was water in the basement. We obtained a bid from this company to provide waterproofing. After a little confusion, we accepted the nearly $9000 bid and as they requested, sent them a 20% deposit. The next part was the ok part; they arranged for 2 different crews to come out and do two different parts of the job. Minor problem #1 was that they called to reschedule at the last minute. But they did show up at the rescheduled time and do work as promised. Minor problem #2 was that in the process they damaged the wiring and had to schedule yet another crew on yet a later date to come repair that. Not long after the work was completed, it rained. AND THERE WAS WATER IN THE BASEMENT! We let them know, and they sent out another fellow, who told us that the original bid had not included all the work necessary to make the basement waterproof! He gave us another bid for $1600 to complete the work. MAJOR PROBLEM #1: If Thrasher are the experts they claim to be, why didn't they give us a bid for the total amount to waterproof the basement in the first place? They apparently thought we wanted to pay them nearly $9000 so that our basement might be a little less wet? These were only some of the questions I had about the second bid. MAJOR PROBLEM #2: I tried calling the representative and the company multiple times. I was offered the option to leave a message. But their outgoing message kept telling me that the mailbox was full and hanging up on me. Finally I reached one of them, who told me to send them another deposit. MEANWHILE, they are on-the-spot making threats if we don't immediately pay the balance of the original contract (which I told them I would pay when the project is finished). Yeah, I guess I hired them again. But I wish I hadn't had to. So eventually I paid for and scheduled the SECOND job. And their crew did show up as promised. But the basement is STILL not entirely dry. And my adventure with these clowns goes on.

Felipe and his team were here on time and wasted no time getting to work. They completed the work in about 5 hours and left the space better than when they walked in. They instructed me on any troubleshooting with the installed system and told me to call with any questions. As professional as they come.

I have owned rentals properties in Lincoln for over a decade and I have hired a lot of contractors to do a myriad of work for the houses over the years. Thrasher has hands down been the best company I have ever hired. From the very first day I called them, they were the most professional, polite, and honest people I have ever seen. When Trevor came out to see what needed to be done (a leaking egress window, which was improperly installed by another company, Thrasher was there to fix their mistakes) he gave the most in-depth analysis of what the problem was I have ever seen. I had two other companies come and look at the same problem, one of which did not even go into the basement and gave me a cookie cutter answer. After Trevor told me what the problem was, he went in-depth on how they would fix it. He had brought a laptop in that showed me the exact products they would be installing, how it was installed, cost and everything in the most professional way I have ever seen, and this was on the spot! Once the work began they laid down plastic over the stairs, through the kitchen and to the garage to keep the house clean. Not only that, but they also turned off the HVAC system and covered it! Something I would have never even thought of. Again, the workers were polite and courteous, cleaned up after themselves and left the place in better condition than when they started. All in all, I cannot give them any higher of a praise. I hope that I never need their services again, but if I ever have a problem that they specialize in, they will be my first and only phone call for the repairs. I have already recommended to everyone I know, and told them how great it was to work with them. Thanks again.
