21 employees. No subs. Cost is determined by the job. No travel charges. No service fee. No after hours charge.

"Very well ! Michael and his crew ( 5) all are very polite, professional and detail oriented in their work assignment. The crew worked all day with Michael's supervision, and asked us of any concern or questions that we might have. I read great reviews prior to engaging them - their collaboration with each member of the group has proven their professionalism. I waited 2 weeks to write this review in order to observe if any leaks or other concern that might arise. Prior to the start of the workday the crew covered all areas that might be soiled while they work & at the end of the day they cleaned the space thoroughly . This proves their professionalism. They started & finsihed the work within the specified time period mentioned by Michael Addisen. We definitely recommend them to our friends and neighbors and would like to engage them in our future home assignments."

Since 1978, Reliable has offered home services with exceptional reliability and customer service. We offer more financing options than any other company, even Comfort as a Service, a hassle free way to get energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, water heaters, water purification even generators for a low monthly payment and all repairs, maintenance even filters are NO additional CHARGE EVER. Reliable takes care of everything. That is an UNBEATABLE LIFETIME WARRANTY.

"I had a brand new heat pump system installed in April 2023. They sent subcontractors to install it who were very unprofessional and they left bare wires hanging out of the machine and it did not look like it was installed correctly. It stopped working completely 4 times in 5 months, the last time was on October 10, service tech said, “I really don’t agree with the way they installed it “ he said the wires were barely connected so it kept losing power. He got it working again and left. Two weeks ago it got cold and we turned the system to heat for the very first time. It blew cold air. We made ANOTHER service call. The technician said that a switch had “gone bad” because, “they wear out” we explained that we have never used the heat even once, so how could the switch be worn out. Then they advised they had to order a part. Over a week later the part came in and they returned and that still didn’t fix. Now they say the compressor has, “gone bad” and when we reiterated that we have never even used it so how is it worn out they answered, “they just go bad sometimes” we still don’t have heat, they say they have to order more parts. We asked them to look over the whole system because we don’t think it is installed right and I am genuinely concerned that it is a fire hazard and they looked at it, put electrical tape on some hanging wires and left. We have had to take SIX days off work so far and buy space heaters and we are no closer to having a working system. This unit is less then SIX MONTHS OLD. At this point I have no choice but to pursue legal action. This whole experience has been terrible and has cost me hundreds in missed time at work and I’m still paying for a system that does not work."

VOTED BEST CONTRACTOR IN NORTH GEORGIA by SEBC. John Anderson Service Co. has been in business for more than 32 years. We are TVA and Georgia Power approved contractors.

"The first person who came out did some work on the drain and it stopped leaking in the original location, but started leaking worse in a different location. I called again and The company sent a different person out. He said the first guy had done the repair wrong, and that it was fixed now. However the leak continued. Water was trickling down the interior walls of my house and onto the floors, doing a good bit of damage. I called again, and they sent someone out to look at it, and they told me that my roof was leaking, not the AC. I called out a roofer and a plumber, and neither found a problem. I called the company and asked to speak with the owner several times and never got a call back. The owner finally said he would come to my house with a technician, and he stood me up. I finally called a different AC repair company and they fixed the leak. I do not recommend this company. They do shoddy work, and are totally unresponsive to customer needs."

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

Fireplaces can last between 10 and 30 years on average. This life span heavily depends on the quality of the construction, the type of fireplace (wood-burning versus gas versus electric), the materials used, and how well you’ve maintained it. Most homeowners get around 20 years out of their fireplace before major issues start popping up.

In most homes, your chimney and HVAC are separate from each other. However, you can use your chimney to save on heating costs in the winter. Turn off your HVAC system and start a cozy fire, then watch the electric bills drop during the coldest months. Make sure your flue is closed when not in use so that you don’t end up pumping heat or cool air from your system outside.

Some people prefer the traditional look of a classic fireplace over modern fireplace inserts, potentially making their aesthetic a disadvantage, though this isn’t true for everyone. Additionally, if you’re moving into a house with an insert and don’t have the specific fuel requirements, the insert will be pretty much useless. Though fireplace inserts are less maintenance than standard fireplaces, they still require consistent cleaning.

While most stoves won’t last two decades, some do! Gas stoves and pellet stoves are more likely to go the distance than electric stoves or induction cooktops, and maintenance can go a long way toward increasing longevity.

Creosote control, maintaining cap mesh integrity, and swift repairs keep systems robust.
