He gave us a timeline for his work and maintained it throughout his work. He patiently explained the operation of the entire system to my wife and me (both 80+ years old). "We hired Guardian to install our security system at our Washington, DC, business. The service and quality of the work was horrible. We had cameras and an alarm system installed; it was a relatively large system. They outsource most of the work to various vendors. They could not manage their vendors; what was supposed to take a week took two months. The sales rep did not return calls, and you could never get anyone in management on the phone. Random people would show up at unannounced times. The few things that an actual Guardian employee did were they made a huge mess of our newly remodeled office and were rude to our staff. We have offices in five markets across the US and have high security at each; we have never had such a poor experience."

"I was on the market for a security system and this one seemed easy enough to install.......went through the process and some of the window sensors were not working. I called Customer Support who was very friendly and we went through the entire process again...this time other window sensors did not work. This went on for a week or so...then the door senors stopped working....than the motion sensor stopped working...at no time in over a month did I have a fully operational security system. As I was about to return the system I was told they have "new" sensors and they just realized they received a bad batch and are working with another company.....Gave it a try....and same issue returned....some sensors worked....some didn't. I finally returned the system and stopped getting emails.....only to find that they were still billing my credit card even after I returned the equipment. Very nice people and very understanding.....unfortunately their product is not up to par. While we do have a large home, it's an open concept and the sensors that weren't working were no more than 15ft away from the base. The previous owners of my house had a wireless system with no issues at all.....I'm going to be using that company going forward."

"I had a brand new heat pump system installed in April 2023. They sent subcontractors to install it who were very unprofessional and they left bare wires hanging out of the machine and it did not look like it was installed correctly. It stopped working completely 4 times in 5 months, the last time was on October 10, service tech said, “I really don’t agree with the way they installed it “ he said the wires were barely connected so it kept losing power. He got it working again and left. Two weeks ago it got cold and we turned the system to heat for the very first time. It blew cold air. We made ANOTHER service call. The technician said that a switch had “gone bad” because, “they wear out” we explained that we have never used the heat even once, so how could the switch be worn out. Then they advised they had to order a part. Over a week later the part came in and they returned and that still didn’t fix. Now they say the compressor has, “gone bad” and when we reiterated that we have never even used it so how is it worn out they answered, “they just go bad sometimes” we still don’t have heat, they say they have to order more parts. We asked them to look over the whole system because we don’t think it is installed right and I am genuinely concerned that it is a fire hazard and they looked at it, put electrical tape on some hanging wires and left. We have had to take SIX days off work so far and buy space heaters and we are no closer to having a working system. This unit is less then SIX MONTHS OLD. At this point I have no choice but to pursue legal action. This whole experience has been terrible and has cost me hundreds in missed time at work and I’m still paying for a system that does not work."
