"On or about September 25, 2025, I contacted Angi to hire a professional painter to paint the exterior of my home. Later that day I received a call from Kelly from Atlanta Painting Company and set a date for September 26, 2025 @ noon for a free estimate. On September 26, 2025, I received a text from Michael C. Goodin stating that he could come at 11: 00 am and conduct the estimate. Michael walked around my property and quoted an estimate of $3,375.82, I thought that was high from simply painting the trim of my home, but the HOA was involved, and I needed to get this done, so I agreed. I received an email from Allysa Escalante from Atlanta Painting Company stating that they would like to start the work on Tuesday September 30, 2025. I received another emailed that same day from Cynthia Hendry from Atlanta Painting Company stating that the crew would arrive on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the length of the job would take three days, requested the $1,013.95 deposit and other related information. I thought it was odd that Michael texted me later that day pushing for the $1,013.95 deposit as this was a Friday, so I sent the deposit. On Monday September 29, 2025, I received an email from Jorge Arredondo, (project manager), for Atlanta Painting Company stating that he and the painting crew would arrive on Tuesday September 30, 2025, between 8:30 to 9:30 am to start the job. On September 30, 2025, at about 9:30, a two-man crew that did not speak English showed up, no Jorge Arredondo, (the English-speaking project manager) and attempted to communicate with me requesting I do a walk around my property to verify the estimate. This was something I could not do as I am a disabled veteran with a total knee replacement, and I told Michael about this. I contacted Michael by text and asked him why Jorge was not here, and he could not give me an answer other than Jorge was calling my phone as we texted. I told Michael to have Jorge leave a message. On that same day, Jorge left a message stating that he would be at my home the next day at 9:30 am and we would discuss why he failed to communicate with me. On October 1, 2025, @ 9:30 am the two-man crew that did not speak English showed up, no Jorge. I text Jorge about his lateness and lack of communication. I informed him that I was not happy with the quality of service, and I would speak to Michael about this. I contact Michael and stated that I have a big problem with Jorge’s lateness, lack of communication and quality of service. Michael stated that I should give Jorge another chance and that he vouches for this guy, I told Michael that’s not going to happen. You only get one chance to make a good impression. I when on to discuss items on the estimate the was either not done or should have been removed prior to September 30, 2025. These items were the back basement door; it should not have been on the estimate because I didn’t ask for that work to be done and the removal of the cost concerning the vinyl windows as they cannot be painted. I also requested an itemization of the estimate and how he came to the $3,375.82 quote. Michael stated that his company does not individually itemize their estimates. I informed Michael that we need to go over the numbers before reaching a final payment, he agreed. I also asked Michael are you just a salesman or are you the contractor? Michael never responded. Later that day, the two-man, non-English-speaking crew asked for final payment. I don’t know if they understood me when I told them I would speak to Michael and Jorge concerning that. These two men waited outside my property for about 30 minutes. I contact Michael again via text and asked why they are still here, what are they waiting for and do I need to call the police? I received no reply from Michael and the two men left shortly after.Angi It was my understanding that Michael and I would go over the estimate and agree on a lower price since there was no contract for the final payment, and that never happen. I am unsure if the work was properly done, since Michael and Jorge stopped communicating with me and the Atlanta Painting Company just disappeared. [Non first hand experience redacted] There was no supervision by Jorge to ensure the job with done right and, I believe the two painters were un-documented. I contacted Angi to avoid issues like this. I really don’t know who came to my home and why it got weird when I asked more questions. I set my home security system each night as I fear for the safety of myself and family because of this interaction. I expect a full refund of my deposit of $1,013.95 and no further communications anyone from Atlanta Painting Company"

"It went extremely well. Tim paid attention to detail. My home is so beautiful inside and out. He listens to what the customer wants and spends a lot of time prepping before he paints. "This is frustrating, because our initial experience in February 2019 with Swift was fantastic. Heather was always attentive, helpful, and responsive. When we did the final walkaround, she quickly made sure things were corrected. Within less than a year's time, the vinyl siding portion of our sunroom started to buckle because of the heat, even though the paint was guaranteed to prevent this from happening. Swift and Heather quickly worked with SW to find matching siding and came out to repaint the damaged section after being repaired. Unfortunately, this is where things started to fall apart. Once the repainting of the new vinyl siding and some touchups on other portions of the sunroom where the paint started to flake/bubble were completed, Heather pointed out that it was NOT the same color as what was already on the house. Because we had leftover paint from when the work was originally completed, we were able to compare the two side-by-side to verify this together. Then it became a waiting game while they tried to get things straightened out with SW regarding why the paint didn't match. While we were waiting, the NEW siding started to buckle as well, so on Valentine’s Day 2020, I called Heather and left a VM, but there was no response. I sent pictures to her email, and received an auto response indicating the email address was no longer valid. Red flag. OK, I had spoken with the owner previously and still had his email address, so I reached out to him both via email (with pictures) and via telephone, and again no response. It was right about this time that COVID hit and the world stopped, and I was afraid something might have happened to the folks at Swift and their business was a casualty of the pandemic; their Facebook page didn't show any updates, and calls to the number on their site went straight to voicemail. A few months later, I figured I'd check their FB page again on a lark and, lo and behold, it looked like they were back in business! I figured there was a hiccup in their operations b/c of the pandemic but that things were getting back to normal for them. I was glad because a) I didn't want to see their business suffer, and b) I thought we could get things resolved. So, being hopeful, I called again on July 10, and even though it went straight to voicemail, I left another message and waited patiently. and waited... and waited… And because other emergencies occurred in the meantime, on November 15th I called and left another message… and waited.... and waited.... And on December 14th I called and left another message… and waited.... and waited.... (you see where this is going) So as of today, February 5, 2021, we still have warped siding on one side of our sunroom and mismatched paint on multiple areas of the house, and a completely non-responsive contractor. Based on the earlier positive experience, I had given them the benefit of the doubt and truly was not worried, but after trying for months to get a response, I'm afraid to say I was mistaken."

"Southern Specialty Contractor LLC, gave me an estimate on my property to install a roof and I agreed to move forward after all parties agreed to a price. I informed the representative Manny that we were on a strict budget and could only afford what we were quoted. He did a complete assessment of the roof and said he thought we would be fine with the price quoted and did not anticipate any additional problems based on his knowledge and expertise. My husband and I decided to move forward because he seemed to be an honest person. We paid half of the invoice and the other half was due at completion. We never got a phone call, text or email stating that they found any additional problems. Unfortunately, when the job was completed they sent an invoice with an additional $1995. I called and told them they made a mistake on the invoice and I was told that they found some additional issues and addressed them without my permission. I have never in my life heard of a company making additional repairs to a property without discussing it with the homeowner. I believe this is a scam. They submitted a lower bid to get the job and inflated it after the work was completed. This man had the nerve to file suit against me for repairs that I didn't approve. I have a feeling that this is how they do business. That is very unprofessional to inflate a price without discussing it with the customer. I will definitely see him in court. Please shop around before you do business with this company. I REFUSE to allow him to scam me. I wish I could give zero stars. He was paid in Full for the services provided."
