Quality over Quantity! I take pride in everything I build or replace, I don't cut corners and I don't like to be asked to cut corners, pride is in the Quality of work, not quantity.

"This company is the best, hands down!!! I’ve done business with them on multiple occasions and will continue to do so. They bring their word to action. Honest, good, caring people, very professional and actually know what they are doing. I’ve tried other companies before but they never exceeded my expectations like One-stop does. They just do things “different” and I recommend the experience to everyone. You won’t regret it."

"Dee was amazing. She called in a timely manner to set up an estimate and she arrived promptly at our scheduled time. Once we decided on a price, she set up my appointment for a day that best suited me and she arrived at the scheduled time for cleaning as well. She did a wonderful job cleaning and had a great attitude the entire time. She was a great communicator and very friendly. Will book again in the future."

"We hired Kimberly Painting to paint the exterior of our cedar sided home. Since we were changing the home's color and contrast trim, it was a little more involved than a quick repaint. Mark came out to give us a bid on the project. He was friendly, responsive, and also very helpful as we were finalizing our color choices. Kimberly Painting's bid was not the cheapest bid we got, but not the most expensive. I believe you get what you pay for, so I rarely go with the lowest bidder anyway.
The crew was great. They worked quickly, neatly, and cleaned up well after the project was complete. While they were working on the outside, I decided to have them take care of some drywall repair needed on one ceiling inside our home, as well as repaint an interior accent wall in our living room. They gave me an awesome price on those since there were already onsite, and the work was flawless.
Shortly after they left, some paint started chipping on the front porch. I called Mark, who had someone out to repaint it immediately. A year later, no paint had peeled off again. So, we only had one minor problem with our exterior project, and Kimberly Painting stood behind their work without hesitation.
We are thrilled with this company and look forward to hiring them again.

Deck Maintenance questions, answered by experts

Whether to paint or stain a deck depends on your personal preference for appearance and budget. Stain provides a natural look with a range of undertones, is typically less expensive, and may only require one coat, but it does not last as long as paint. Paint offers a sleeker finish with a virtually unlimited color palette. Both options will protect your deck from outdoor elements like rain, snow, and general wear and tear.

A random orbital sander is best for sanding a deck because it is easier to handle than other power sanders and is less likely to damage the wood. Most decks are made of types of softwood, so a gentler sanding process is essential to prevent permanent blemishes. For example, belt sanders can gouge softwoods.

PVC decking can get slippery when wet because it’s made from plastic. However, composite and wood decking can also be slippery when wet. It’s best to wear shoes with grippy soles when walking on a wet deck, no matter the material, and to be extra cautious not to slip and fall down.

A ground-level deck is a great idea for an outdoor space because it’s easy to access and doesn't require stairs or railings. You can install a ground-level deck near your home or farther away on your property. You can place a ground-level deck around a pool, fire pit, or near a view such as a lake, pond, or area of trees.

While you can use various materials like sand or even just soil, gravel is widely considered the best option to put under a deck. It provides excellent drainage and is resistant to water, fire, and pests. Gravel also helps anchor the soil to prevent erosion during heavy rain and acts as a built-in weed blocker, reducing regular upkeep. Furthermore, it is simple to spread, available in various textures and tones, and adds a polished look that complements any deck design.
