Small jobs welcome

"Mario made sure to go get all of the tools needed for the job even after arriving to start. We appreciated that he was able to work the exact day that we needed someone to clean up the yard. He mowed and did edge work as well as leaf blower and bagged 6 yard collection bags. The yard is large and had more loose debris, but he definitely earned the amount of money that we budgeted for the job. Thanks Mario!"

"Hired this guy a few weeks ago to take care of my overgrown lawn, which I can?t do because I work the graveyard shift. He meticulously mowed all the paths and the long driveway, and the grass was cut so perfectly. He also removed weeds and used a great weed killer. He even took care of some leaves on my roof and mulched the fallen leaves. He had a great attitude and provided excellent service. I would definitely hire him again."

"José and his team are amazing. The price is very reasonable for the quality and speed of service. They did an excellent job on a full clean out of our yard (mowing, weed removal, leaf removal, edging). We will be continuing to use Lawn Teacher for biweekly maintenance."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Professionals are trained in identifying hazardous materials and utilize industry-approved methods for safe handling and disposal. They adhere to regulatory frameworks to protect health and the environment, ensuring all materials are disposed of safely and responsibly.

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is recycling or donation, if possible. That way, the world can reduce its consumption of raw materials and the volume at which materials have to be treated and disposed of. If recycling or donation is not an option, most waste can be disposed of through landfills or incinerators, but their collection and treatment are separate from regular day-to-day waste disposal.

Professional lead removal involves identifying and safely removing or encapsulating lead-based paints and materials, using specialized equipment, and following strict safety procedures to minimize exposure and contamination.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.
