"The owner, Nick Pavao came out and gave us an accurate estimate of the cost, and the time needed to complete the work. This included steam cleaning the tile and grout and reseal with the color sealant. Three technicians three technicians, Joseph, Miguel and Keyon did a superior job steam cleaning the tile and grout, reseal the grout with color sealant. The work done in the master bathroom on the walk-in shower and Jacuzzi tub were excellent. I would recommend the grout medic of Marietta to any friends or neighbors who needed tile work. I would definitely use them again."

"LR tile came to my rescue. My bathroom tile was a mess. Floor grout cracking and lose tiles. Shower was leaking under the floor tiles. Luis came and removed everything and fixed the floor with new tile and the shower stall with all new tile and fixed everything that was done wrong by previous construction. He was professional and cleaned up after each day. I would highly recommend LR tile."

"I hired K&M Flooring to replace 1900 square ft. of wood laminate and carpet with wood look tile floor and replace my garden tub with a large shower. They did and outstanding job. I cannot say enough about this company, anyone lucky enough to hire them is in for a treat. Jason the owner even sent cleaners to my house to make sure I didn't have to do the entire job myself, that's what I call customer service."

"Enver is very skilled in the trade and takes pride in his work Our flooring project exceeded our expectations. He removed our hardwood and carpet (1400sq) on the whole first floor. He then installed a wood look porcelain tile. He always arrived on time and explained his work as he went through the project. He completed the project earlier than expected. His prices are very reasonable and affordable! We would highly recommend him. We will definitely consider him for future projects."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

It’s best to install a shower door after the bathroom tile is in place to ensure you have accurate measurements. If you try installing a shower door first, the tile might be too thick to install afterward, or the tile will be too thin and create a gap between the shower doors that allows water to leak. With the tile in place first, you’ll know the exact shower door size that you need.

Yes, provided you aren’t installing drywall over it. But you can skim coat it, apply new tile right on top, paint it, or stencil it. For more budget- and DIY-friendly options, you can install beadboard or apply decals. Just make sure that the current tiles are in good condition and prepped well for the paint or adhesive to stick.

Your floors should be completely level for tile, otherwise you risk damaging the tiles in the future. When there are even small gaps or hills in the subfloor beneath the tile, this puts more pressure on the tile when you walk around on the floor. With repeated traffic, the tiles are at risk of cracking, and you’ll have to deal with tile repairs sooner than if the floor was completely level.

Generally speaking, it is better to cut tile wet when using a fast-moving wet saw to reduce dust and chipping. However, tile can be cut dry when using just about any cutting tool. Dry cutting will result in a bigger mess and may increase the risk of chipping or cracking, but if you’re just making small cuts, dry cutting is a safe and viable option. Cutting dry also means you can apply tile grout sooner, so it’s better for rushed projects.

The grout shade you choose comes down to personal taste and preference. A darker grout will give you a more dramatic and noticeable contrast with the tile around it; however, lighter grout helps create a more uniform look when blending the colors together. Additionally, a darker grout combined with a patterned tile could be overwhelming to the eye, while lighter grout makes the pattern stand out as the main focus.
