Thankfully Dillion told his team to not clear as much as we had marked because it kept the privacy we wanted close to our house. It was a total shock when I first saw the clearing, but I can honestly say our land looks bigger and the larger trees will be healthier now that the smaller trees are removed. Cement, however, is the key ingredient to concrete, and includes a collection of natural binding elements and sand, clay, and limestone. 

Yes, fiber concrete can crack, and contrary to popular belief, it will crack under similar forces to rebar-reinforced concrete. The difference is in how the crack spreads through the slab. When you exert pressure on a slab, the slab flexes downward, putting tensile forces on the bottom of the slab. In rebar concrete, a crack at the bottom will also quickly appear on the top surface. In fiber concrete, the fibers hold the two sides of that bottom crack together, making it less likely for the crack to form on the top surface.

A floating concrete slab is considered a footing since it distributes the weight of the structure to the soil, but not all concrete slabs are considered footings. For example, a T-shaped slab includes separate footings below the slab that support the concrete above and push the load further down into the ground. In that case, the slab would not be considered a footing.

It depends on the type of concrete and how long it takes to cure. Some concrete countertops can be sanded 3 days after pouring, while other slabs may require weeks to cure before sanding.
