Somehow, the two of them handled everything like pros without a single scratch or ding—on the furniture or either home. What really stood out was how personable, kind, and thoughtful they were. They moved quickly and efficiently, knowing I was paying by the hour, but never once sacrificed care or quality. They were kind to my mom (who was helping me out), and so sweet to my two dogs too. They were very thorough about inventory & our special instructions & offered a reasonable price. From then on, their follow up & moving info was continuous so we felt very secure in the approaching move. On moving day, our 2-man team (Mike & Brandon) arrived on time, carefully protected our doors, wrapped all furniture & all was loaded in 2 hours! "Stay away from Budget Movers of Augusta, Inc. Their Google and social media reviews are fake or posted by internal employees to mislead customers. On October 5, 2024, they arrived 50 minutes late with no explanation, bringing no protective equipment or proper tools despite promises from the owner, Jim. Their careless handling damaged my sectional sofa, dining table, garage door stopper, and door knob, leaving me with $650 to $1,390 in repair costs. They also failed to disclose a mandatory two-hour charge, forcing me to overpay for an hour of unnecessary service. When I contacted customer support, I was met with empty promises, repeated excuses, and no resolution. No repairs, no reimbursement, and no accountability. I demand full compensation or immediate repairs. I also urge the Review Board to investigate their deceptive practices and recommend that the Better Business Bureau remove them from its listings. Do not trust this company. Do not hire them. Protect yourself."

"From the beginning Chuck and his team were professional and courteous. Chuck came to my home to estimate the job and on move day they arrived with adequate people and trucks to complete the job. Once I knew the best way to communicate with Chuck, via cell phone, he was very responsive to my class and questions. My issues with the move was that they appeared rushed once the furniture was delivered to the new house and they were unpacking and setting up beds, etc. And I had asked Chuck to arrange people to come help with packing, which he did, but what did not happen was the packers were not scheduled for a pre-visit to estimate this part of the job so that we would know what type and how much packing materials the packers would need. It was fortunate that my husband has access to boxes, tape, and bubble wrap with his business. Otherwise, this would have been a big problem. Having said this, I would still recommend Chuck’s company to friends and family and use him again if the need arose."

"I hired J&J VIP Movers to move me on 3/21/25 for a 1 bdrm apartment move within the same apt complex. Initially, Jason was professional and helpful, and answered all my questions. He even provided an excellent reference. I emphasized that 75% of my furniture was less than 2 months old, and I wanted 3-4 movers. However, on the day of the move, Jason, didn't answer the phone until 9 mins before my scheduled move. I wasn't sure they would show up until they arrived. I was given 2 movers instead of the agreed upon 3 movers. And because of the way things were handled, I ended up having to contract the movers and accept the liability for my move. At the end of the day, my move was not a priority. Thankfully, the day turned out OK, and I got some exercise since I had to move some things myself. Jason made a stressful day, even more stressful. He may be VIP, but he was not VIP for me."
