Their prices were reasonable, they were well uniformed, did a wonderful job and were so extremely friendly and pleasurable to be around.

I was getting a couch and loveseat hauled away. I understand they do it by size, however I had no clue how much room it was going to take up. I thought I would spend about $110. The website said that was the norm, so I thought it might be a little more or less. Well, the quote when they got there was $360!!!! I was not about to pay that much money. I would have kept the couches and just waited for "big trash pick up", which is free. The worker asked how much I expected to pay and I did $120. He said I can go as low as 168, but no more. We did that, but now feel like the company is scamming people. I'm sure lots of people just pay what you say. Is it just a random guess from the pick up guys to see how much it cost? I'd much rather have a broken up list showing how much it would be... couch - $75, love seat - 50, etc. it's difficult to blindly have someone come to your house, make sure you are home and have the items prepared to go. I did not understand there would be a need to barter.

Two men came and did a great job with a difficult task. The whole process was very easy for me and I was very satisfied.

There was a crew of two men. They arrived on time and removed mostly old unwanted items from our basement for over an hour. Some items were covered in dust. They also cleaned up after themselves. They were polite and professional. I'd hire them again. I also learned that they recycle or donate items that can be reused. That was a plus for us.

When I called and made the appointment, that person was amazingly nice. Then I got a call from someone yesterday to confirm the appointment... he was extremely professional and nice. Like they REALLY CARE about their customers. It feels as if you are talking to a friend. Then Charlie, the one who was coming today, called to let me know what time he would be here. Again, friendly & professional... could *see* the smile through the phone. Two young men came and they got the job done quickly & efficiently. I know it was a lot of work, and The Beast was heavy. But they made it look easy. I really like the responsiveness and friendliness of everyone that I came into contact with. I even called 1-800-GOT-JUNK to tell them how awesome my experience was. Posted them on my Facebook page, and am writing a review on Angie's List. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this company... and I will use their services again. Top notch!

The two gentlemen called early and were ahead of schedule so they started the job about 30 minutes earlier.  I explained what I needed, was caught offguard by the price not just being for what they can fit in the truck, but in addition to that rock/concrete debris also has a separate minimum charge of $200.  Shame on me if that's on the website for missing it, but I needed the job done so I went with them and I understand it's harder to dispose of rock/brick.  
The guys were very courteous - and worked hard the whole time they were there.  They emptied the shed and started on the small pile of rock/brick, but after a few minutes they asked if I could prioritize which items I needed them to take now because they had another job to go to and couldn't finish.  This was a bit shocking - I was being charged for them taking the debris they didn't take and they didn't live up to their "take as long as they have to for one flat price" assurance.  
I was going to call them in the morning, but I received a survey in my email - PERFECT.  So I explained my dissatisfaction and checked the option to speak with a resolution specialist.   The next morning I received a phone call from Alex who was apologetic and very understanding of my dissatisfaction.  Coincidentally one of the two gentlemen who came out to my house, that was his last day and the other left for vacation.  Alex was very professional and assured me he would take care of it and have another truck sent out to pick up the debris.  He asked me to send him a picture of it so he can make sure it gets done.  On April 23rd they came back out, I couldn't be there because of work but he called and left me a message sayiing the job was complete. 
I very much appreciate 800-GOT-JUNK for correcting the problem and handling it in a very professional manner.   I will use them again if I ever need to.

This was my third experience with 1-800-GOT-JUNK and I continue to be very impressed with their service.  Appointments are easily made online,  confirmed via phone the day before and the crew called when they were about 30 minutes away.  In each of my 3 experiences, the crew has been courteous, friendly and prompt.  They arrive on time, remove exactly what you tell them to take and they leave.  In each of my experiences I have had a full truckload and they have arrived and left within 1 hour.  Additionally, they are very creative in loading their truck - hauling off way more than I thought they could.
I will continue to use these guys.  It is so much easier than removing stuff myself.  It is slightly more expensive than renting a dumpster... but if I do that I will have to remove the stuff myself and it will literally take days.  With this service, I don't have to touch anything, let alone move it, take it to the dump, etc.

The guys were pleasant. I had my pile from our Garage clean up ready to go, the radio ad said $350 was typical. They told me the local office was not participating in that promo. Then don't let it run on local radio! They had estimated $450, and it ended up only being $400, but that left me still feeling misled by the advertisement.

I'm extremely happy with the service I received. I scheduled the appointment online via their website and received a confirmation email. I was presented with price ranges online so I could get an idea of cost and was told I'd receive a call 15-20 minutes before the appointment. The actual call from the two workers came more than 30 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive and told me that they would be able to arrive right at the beginning of my two hour window.
Once they arrived at the house they were extremely courteous and we proceeded to go around to spot out all the pieces I wanted removed. Once I pointed everything out, they gave me my estimate of 3/4 of a truck and how much it would cost. I wasn't thrilled at the price but a lot of it was large and heavy and I wanted it gone.
They proceeded to move very rapidly to remove everything we talked about however they never rushed and were very careful with walls and doorways. The entire process, for quite a bit of heavy furniture took barely 50 minutes. This is probably below average because I made things a little easier as I had most things near a walk out basement door except one or two heavy items.
The two workers were very friendly and socialable (without slowing down) true to their radio ads. In addition, they gave me some helpful advice about where I could donate some of the other stuff I wasn't giving them.
Once everything was packed up in the truck and the final tally was made, the total ended up at 5/8 of a truck, which was less than the original 3/4 estimate. I thought this was very fair.
I could have gone with a cheaper company or one with an Angie's List coupon but based on the Angie's List feedback I would rather have a good estimate in advance of work and pay a little more for better service and that's exactly what I received.

They called prior to arrival time as promised. Arrived early and perform walk through and provided estimate to remove materials. Their estimate was exact and their truck really couldn't have heard anything extra. The employees were neat and courteous. Their work was fast and safe. They carefully listened as to what stayed and what went. I was very happy with service and will certainly use them again.

This is the 2nd time I've used 1-800-GOTJUNK in the past year. Last spring they removed junk from my basement. I was so impressed that I hired them to do the same for my parents garage. The scheduler (Kevin) confirmed the appointment with me the day before and the crew (Charles and James) called me about 30 minutes before their on-time arrival.
They quickly assessed the situation and gave me a fair quote. They then proceeded to load up the truck in a very methodical fashion. This garage contained nearly 35 years of junk. .. old furtniture, lawn mowers, deep freeze and refrigerator as well as random junk and lots of cardboard boxes. It took them about an hour to fill up the truck. They were in and out in less than 90 minutes.
James and Charles were extremely pleasant. It was a very cold morning and there was snow/ice on the ground. I would like to note how impressed I was with the professionalism. There was A LOT of stuff in this garage (too much for one truck actually). They took care to load the truck in such a way that they could maximize the load as much as possible. I will definitely engage them again in the Spring when my parents begin phase 2 of the clean-up project.
I can't recommend this service enough to people who have a lot of junk and don't know where to start (or maybe you just think that you can get a dumpster and do it yourself. . . but what will you do with the stuff that you can't get into the dumpster?). While 1-800-GOTJUNK might SEEM a little pricey, it really isn't that bad when you consider that if you rented a dumpster, you would still have to pay for it, load it, and probably still keep the stuff you can't get into it. With 1-800-GOTJUNK, they arrive, load and leave within 90 minutes - job over!
