In about 2-3 hours, Jeremy (with the assistance of a colleague he called in once it was clear there was more work to do), made the following repairs for $1,154: 1) repaired defective GFCI; 2) repaired two sets of spliced wires and added two junction boxes; 3) repaired plastic couplings at the connections between the electric utility wire and the house main wire; 4) added connectors to all unsecured wiring in my electrical panel and labeled breakers; 5) and identified and repaired a "double-tap" wiring situation in my kitchen. Furthermore, Jeremy suggested a more cost-effective way to fix my dryer situation: recording (~$150) vs. changing the outlet (~$600). Luckily, once my dryer arrived it turned out it was three-prong and thus fit the old-style outlet so I didn't need to do either. But I still appreciated his honesty about my options. The Roto Rooter rep Brian came out and inspected and said I needed water mitigation based off the moisture in my walls. When I say the leak wasn't that bad, it really wasn't! He stated that my insurance company would cover it all and that he deals with my particular company all the time and not to worry. I obviously was taken back by the cost of almost 4k! Fast forward, my insurance company are questioning duplicate charges and Roto-Rooter is saying I owe almost 3k or a lien will be placed on my property! This whole water mitigation is a scam and the salesman did not tell the truth. They should have picked up their fans a lot earlier than they did. I'm sure they were trying to milk all the money they could. Over 5k for a bunch of fans in my home. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THIS PLACE! Contacting my lawyer and will have my day in court if necessary. BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS IF YOU ASK ME!"
