"Sir- I regret that there was a mistake, and we tried at our own expense to fix it. You were consistently angry and used offensive language at me. We made no attempt to collect the remainder of the balance before we returned to fix the 2 errors which were only a very small portion of the over all job. The areas in question were not clearly discussed as a part of the scope. But, I still offered to fix it at my expense before the balance was paid. I made a mistake and did not have my employee check with me before he left the site and do a walk through with you prior to moving to equipment off site. Hauling machinery is very costly. It was my mistake. I offered to fix it. I am sorry that it was not to your standard. We would have been onsite today to fix this error at no additional charge had it been agreeable by the customer."
"Sir, I kept in contact with you multiple times about the delays, and we gave a discount to compensate for the delay. We completed everything that we were paid to do and even worked for an extra half day that was not charged for. We were contracted to grade the yard to slope with a machine which we did. We sloped around obstacles that were currently in the yard. We worked within the boundaries and limitations of the machine and the yard. We did the best that could be done with your yard. We certainly try to work and achieve standard practices of grading. You wanted a perfect hand raked finish which is landscaping; we were not contracted for that project. I explained how to achieve the perfect yard through hand raking and over-seeding once grass is grown. This is my livelihood so I take very much care to do the best job possible and even more than what we’re paid for. I take care to explain what to expect from my company and what the process will be for their job. I apologize for calling you brother. I use it in everyday speech and meant no disrespect. I nor my team are perfect but we do aim to correct our mistakes if we are approached respectfully."
