"I have been stressing for a while with trying to decide what to do about years of erosion and damage from an Oak tree that I loved dearly. Darrell came out, walked the property, offered suggestions that made sense and worked within my budget. Job was completed (tree removed, retaining wall built to stop erosion and sodded) in less than one week. I have another tree to be removed and lawn sodded and I have my guy! Thanks Angi and Peachtwins!"

"A representative came out an reviewed what we needed, The crew came out the following week and worked continuously trimming shrubbery, clearing leaves, trimming out dead debris (recent cold caught several things), took out some old shrubs, laid pine straw, and miscellaneous items. The yard looked transformed. Would recommend this service and the price was excellent. John and his crew were very professional, Plan to have another project in the Spring."

"Daniel and his team did an amzing job replacing our worn out lawn with beautiful Zorro Zoysia. From my first phone call requesting an estimate and throughout the entire project, Daniel and his team were clear and concise with their communications and professional with all aspects of the install. We couldn't be happier with the results. No surprises, just 5 STAR service!"

"Attention to Detail You Can Feel The finishes were flawless, but it was the behind-the-scenes quality that really impressed us. Every wall is straight, every cabinet soft-closes perfectly, and every light is exactly where it should be. You can tell they care deeply about the details."

"I hired Patrick and his crew several years ago and use them for my personal home, I have recommended him to dozens and dozens of my clients (I am a real estate agent). He has also completely re-sod my front yard , installed drainage and done various projects for me as well. He has prepared countless listings for me for needed beautification projects. I cannot say enough good things about themâ ¦ I highly recommend!"

"I hired them to address a leakage at the back of my house. They did a ton of work. Digging the foundation out, new drainage pipes, french drain. Water sealer, water deflector on the foundation. Re grading the yard. The end result was fantastic, leak is stopped. They will work with me answer my questions and make sure what I asked is addressed. Communication is great as well. This is a hidden gem type of contractor. I will definitely hire them again for my future yard works."

Excavating questions, answered by experts

While you can save some money by digging your own pool, you may end up paying more in construction equipment rental fees in the long run. You could, however, focus your DIY energies on lowering the cost of leveling your lawn for your pool or filling in surrounding landscaping after construction.

No, a ditch isn’t a trench. A ditch is an open, relatively shallow channel that’s carved out of the ground and used for drainage purposes. In contrast, a trench is a deeper excavation that’s entirely underground. Trenches have many uses, including gas lines, sewage systems, and electrical wiring. Unlike trenches, ditches don’t get filled back in with dirt after they’re dug.

Yes. A metal detector is one of the quickest and easiest ways to find your septic tank. However, metal detectors can be too expensive (costing upward of $300 in some cases), and not everyone has a metal detector just lying around. If that’s the case for you, you can also take a long metal rod and poke it into the ground at regular intervals until you hit something—likely your septic tank lid.

To locate an underground downspout, you should start by identifying where the above ground gutter drains. Look for an entry point, such as a pipe or elbow leading into the ground. Follow the surface path for signs like depressions, landscaping disruptions, or wet areas after rain. You can use a metal detector or plumber’s snake to trace the pipe underground. For deeper pipes, a professional locator tool or camera inspection may be necessary. Visual markers or utility maps can also guide the search.

We recommend removing the stump, and grinding is a popular way to do it. You can also dig out small stumps or stumps that have fully decayed instead of grinding them. However, don’t try using acids or fire for killing a tree stump, which is a fire hazard and illegal in many areas.

Leaving the stump alone invites eventual problems, including attracting termites, mold, and fungi.
