"Carl, the plumber, was prompt and extremely cordial. He took the time to explain what he was doing and how to avoid repeat problems. He also took the time to check out what we thought might have been another plumbing problem, and made suggestions of things to do to avoid the plumbing problems which can occur as a building ages.
He cleared the kitchen drain, ran enough water several times to makes sure that it was draining properly, and left the area clean and dry. As an aside, in chatting with him he explained some of the factors that go into the costs of plumbing and why the service charges can result in high "sticker shock". While that does not necessarily reduce the impact of plumbing cost, I very much appreciated that he took a few minutes to provide me with a perspective I had not considered.
As I have other plumbing work that will need to be done in the near future I will certainly give these guys first crack at the job. And with the discount provided by the Angie's list promotion I got away with a fraction of what I had feared the call would cost. In all, I am exceedingly happy with American Service Specialists.

There were several challenges they encountered, but they had a great positive attitude and got the installation done just the way I wanted it. They cleaned up completely when they were done.  The installers were very knowledgeable, professional and worked well together.  The Engineer stopped by a few days later to make sure everything was satisfactory.  I couldn't be more pleased with the entire experience.  I would not hesitate to recommend Moncrief to a friend or relative.   They may not always have the lowest price quote, but I think they are competitive.
