"Atlanta Craftsman Interiors did a WONDERFUL job reupholstering multiple pieces of (now-vintage) furniture that have been in my family for decades. Mrs. Russell’s WARM PROFESSIONALISM and EXPERT ABILITY to select from hundreds of fabric options to match my specific taste, preferences, and budget made the design process a DELIGHT. In addition to design help, Atlanta Craftsman provided CAREFUL pick-up/delivery service and a SUPERIOR QUALITY of work on my furniture pieces. "Citi Carpet Cleaning, best cleaning I have had thus far. Amazing, Professional, Timely, Great Cleaning, Competitive Pricing! I will most definitely be using them again! FYI - they may need to utilize your outside spicket, but the results are well worth it. My home has dogs and even though I get my carpets cleaned regularly, the steps and platform at the top was stained horribly. Carpets look and smell new. Thank you Citi Carpet Cleaning!"

"I am very happy wwith the painting Dan did for me. He has painted several rooms (walls, trim, and doors). He also, stained our dock, fence, and porches. He always does a great job at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend him, he is detailed oriented, works quickly, and cleans up after himself."

"Arrived on time; very detailed performing their work, carpeting looked brand new when completed; loaned us their drying fans so our bedroom would be dry for bedtime. Both technicians were polite and accommodating. We will use then whenever carpet cleaning is needed. Recommended to friends and neighbors."

Upholstering questions, answered by experts

Doing your own upholstery work is possible, but it’s typically a better idea to leave the work to professionals. Without experience and the proper tools, it’s difficult to get a professionally finished appearance for your furniture, and many DIYers end up spending money on tools and materials only to hire a professional when they can’t get the fabric to look right. If you have reupholstery experience, feel free to give it a shot. However, if you’re not confident in your skill level or you’re working with antiques, it’s worth the money to hire a pro.

Paper moving pads, also called furniture wrapping paper or paper moving blankets, are sheets of recycled paper used to protect various items during moving. Similar to traditional moving blankets, paper pads are also reusable, making them a sustainable and cost-effective option for protecting your belongings during the moving process. Although they’re recycled, they still provide excellent protection against dust, dirt, and scratches.

DIY upholstery is feasible for simple pieces with the right tools and skills, though intricate jobs typically require professional expertise for the best results.

Furniture made from materials resistant to sun fading includes metals like aluminum, stainless steel, and wrought iron, as well as certain synthetic materials like polyethylene (commonly used in outdoor wicker furniture) and resin-based products. Glass tables and accents are also sun resistant. These materials inherently withstand UV rays and are less prone to fading or discoloration. Furniture with UV-resistant coatings or finishes, such as powder-coated metal or UV-protected plastics, offers enhanced protection against sun-induced fading.

If your couch is damaged, you are not out of options. You might try fixing it on your own, bring in a furniture repair specialist, or opt to get rid of it responsibly. Depending on its condition, you could donate, sell, recycle, or drop it off at a local scrap facility.
