"Julio did a great job and we really like how our shower conversion turned out. He did quality work throughout the project from the beginning to end. Installed a custom shower pan where our tub once was added new board and did all tile work as well as installing grab bars and a bench. He kept us informed with updates on the project as he went. Julio particularly has a passion for getting all the details right. We would definitely use him again."

"Great job--windows look good, and work well. A marble window sill was cracked during installation of one of the windows, and they replaced the sill and repaired the wall to look like new. Aaron Bauer, one of the co-owners was always available to address any concerns. I would definitely recommend Suncoast Windows and Siding"

"My experience has been excellent! The windows and door are beautiful and very well installed. Brandon is amazing and was prompt, professional, and did a beautiful install. He and Brian cleaned up after themselves and left no mess. Everyone at the company has been helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and quick to respond. My salesman mark q beat the price of 4 other quotes. I would highly recommend the window depot!"

"We inquired today to ask about the warranty for our sliding glass door. We filled out the warranty form, sent pictures and within the hour, Paige called to confirm receipt. Paige was very helpful with this whole process."

"The team showed up right on time, gave a fair and transparent quote, and explained the different window options clearly so we could make the best choice for our home. The installation itself was quick, clean, and incredibly well done — you could tell they take real pride in their work. The new storm windows fit perfectly, look great, and have already made a noticeable difference in both noise reduction and temperature control. The crew made sure everything was sealed properly, double-checked their work, and left the area spotless when they finished. What really stood out was their professionalism and communication — they kept us updated every step of the way and followed up afterward to make sure we were happy with the results. It’s rare to find that kind of accountability and care these days."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

The cost of a window repair varies significantly depending on which part is damaged. Here is a breakdown of common repairs and their estimated costs:

  • Broken seal or fogginess between panes: $70–$245

  • Cracked pane: $40–$100

  • Broken glass: $200–$2,000

  • Sash, seal, or track repair: $200–$600

  • Latch or hardware issues: $75–$200

  • Broken window frame: $175–$1,000

  • Window screen replacement: $140–$480

Installation typically takes 1-2 hours, depending on the mirror size and mounting requirements.

To maintain a glass shower door, clean it regularly with a non-abrasive cleaner to prevent soap scum and hard water stains. Using a squeegee after each use is also recommended. Additionally, periodically check for leaks and ensure all hardware remains secure to prevent long-term damage.

Yes, you can replace just the glass pane in a window without affecting the surrounding frame. This is a complex process, so it is best to hire a window repair professional to handle the task. A technician will cut the seal, remove the old glass, install the new pane, and properly seal it. For double-pane windows, this includes creating a vacuum between the panes and filling it with insulative gas to restore energy efficiency. Professionals can also help you choose the right type of glass for your window. This repair process is almost always more affordable than replacing the entire window unit.

Black spots on the bottom or along the edge of your bathroom mirror are caused by oxidation behind the mirror glass. When moisture and air are trapped between the glass and the backing, they react and cause discoloration. This is sometimes referred to as “mirror rot.” You’ll need to separate the glass and the backing to fully remove it.
