"Excellent service from the technician. The light fixture was from from Turkey, and was very tricky with installing (including not having exactly the right base to hang). He figured out how to make it look perfect and gave us lots of tips for our upcoming house with no pressure. Courteous, professional, and prompt service! We will hire them again!"

"Great work. Price was as agreed upon. Both guys worked fast and efficiently. Had two large light fixtures to install and additional electrical work. Every thing done in record time and done right. Will definitely contact them in the future for electrical work."

"Reade was very responsive and pleasant.  He accomplished all that we asked and then some.  Would not hesitate to call again in the future.  We had several new light fixtures to install and asked that he also install 2 recessed lights in our shower.  He hung 3 mirrors as well and he adapted quickly to things out of the ordinary as they occurred.

"I called SB Power Electric at noon today in need of someone to help me with an electrical issue the same day. I spoke to a young lady who was very pleasant , polite and professional. I described my issue and she said she was going to speak to the electrician and confirm if he was able to come today and the cost. To my surprise she returned my call within the hour, told me the cost and that the electrician would be at my house between 3:30 and 5:30 pm today. Richard and his assistant were at my house at 4:00 pm. today. They were also very friendly and professional. I was very picky because I wanted to make sure that the light fixtures were installed perfectly inline with the new cabinets and faucet. Richard made sure that the measurements were correct of the light fixtures and did a perfect job in rerouting the electrical wires. They cleaned up the area before they left. Richard and his assistant went out of their way to make sure I was pleased with their work. They exceeded my expectations.

"I needed complete bathroom remodeling including: demolition of walls, removal of existing tub and tile, installing new travertine tile, shower heads, plumbing, and electrical outlets. KJones and Sons did an excellent job with entire remodel of my bathroom and they also put up protective plastic barriers on doorways and also cardboard walkways over my carpet to keep work area relatively clean. The price was also very fair compared to other quotes."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

First of all, don’t shop for bargain lights—often, you’ll end up with a faulty or broken strand, full of dead bulbs or less-than-luminous brightness. Choose quality lights that will last you many years—LED lights have been known to last as long as 100,000 hours. Second, plan ahead and purchase lights for next year’s Christmas during this year’s post-holiday sales. Finally, have a vision and a plan—if you know the measurements of your home, including any windows, doors, and outside bushes you wish to light up, you should be able to only purchase the necessary lights and not more than you need.

Combining different shapes with your chandelier and table can be a stylish way to add depth to your dining room. Whether you’re using a round chandelier over a rectangular table or a square chandelier over a round table, the general sizing principle is the same: Measure the narrowest point of the table and the widest point of the chandelier so you don’t end up with a fixture that overwhelms the space.

The main disadvantage of under-cabinet lighting is the cost. You can expect to pay an average of $265 per fixture, although your exact costs will depend on the scope of your project. And of course, adding new lighting features means you’ll be using more electricity each month. Depending on the installation method and type of bulbs you choose, you may also have to deal with minor inconveniences like visible cords or bulbs that generate heat.

You can install pendant lights almost anywhere you would install a ceiling light. Shade-up or bowl pendants are great anywhere you want ambient light. Shade-down lights can add focused light to any location. Pendant lights complement common types of kitchen lighting, like recessed lights and chandeliers. They also look great over a bar, pool table, or vanity.

When determining how far apart your can lights should be, the rule of thumb is to divide the height of the ceiling by two. The resulting number is how far apart your lights should be. For example, if your ceiling is 10 feet high, your lights should have five feet between them.
