"Tibi called back the same afternoon and came out with his father the next day to give us an estimate. Very pleasant young man, easy to work with. Came in mid range of 4 estimates. They were able to start the next week. Pressure washed the house, driveway and patio the first day. Second day did caulking and prep which included fixing cracks in the stucco. Two more days to paint soffit/fascia with sprayer and roller the stucco. Couldn’t be more pleased! Everything looks beautiful! Tibi’s father was the true craftsman on this job. He does fantastic work and is efficient, neat and thorough."

"We had an outstanding experience with A1 Painting and I highly recommend them. From start to finish Anthony and Scott were professional, punctual, and incredibly detail-oriented. The crew took great care preparing the space and protecting everything before they began, and their workmanship was excellent. The finished result looks fantastic and completely transformed the area. What really stood out was their professionalism and work ethic. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, kept everything clean, and made sure the job was done right. It’s clear they take pride in their work. If you’re looking for a painting company that delivers high quality results and excellent service, A1 Painting is a great choice. We would absolutely hire them again. Mrs. Williams"

Customers say: Terrific value

"I can't say enough great things about Degaetano Painting. From the first consultation to the final payment, the level of professionalism and skill were second to none. Not only did they paint the exterior of my house with perfection but they also resealed windows, filled in cracks, and sanded down worn areas prior to painting. Highly recommend!"

Painting questions, answered by experts

If it rains after you paint your fence, you may need to apply another coat of paint after the fence thoroughly dries. This will ensure a good seal if the rain weakened any areas of the paint. However, if your paint had enough time to dry thoroughly before it rained, you should have no problem.

Wood stains last anywhere from two to five years, depending on exposure to the elements, your local climate, the type of stain, and the surface it’s on. For instance, vertical surfaces last longer than horizontal surfaces. Some types of woods, like dense hardwoods, will require a recoat yearly, as they are too dense for the stain to absorb. In any event, apply a recoat every 2 to 4 years. As for storage, a can of unopened stain can last up to 5 years, though results may vary.

Regular staining, sealing, and inspecting for rot or insect damage prolongs fence lifespan.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood to help prevent the boards from cracking. However, you must wait for the wood to dry out completely before applying any finish. Freshly treated wood can take weeks or even months to dry; a common recommendation is to wait three to six months. To check if the wood is ready, perform a simple water test: drip some water onto the surface. If the water beads up, the wood is still too wet and needs more time to dry. If the wood absorbs the water, it is dry enough to be painted or stained. You can proceed with building your deck or fence while the wood is still wet, but you will need to wait to apply the paint or stain.

The best type of paint to use for chain link fences is an oil-based paint. Oil-based paints are durable and will withstand the elements well. Search for an oil-based paint with rust protection and aluminum flakes to further protect the longevity of the fence.
