"I hired M&P to assist in installing drywall and to do all trim work including baseboard, quarter rounds, casing and crown molding. Jeffrey measured, cut, and installed all the trim work in three large rooms which had several doors and crown molding in each. M&P also fixed a loose handrail and aligned two interior doors. Jeffrey was a professional finishing the job in accordance with the time table set and cleaning up after the completion. M&P fees were reasonable. I would hire M&P again and recommend their services."

"Richard Dunn is a gem. He took his time to go over all the options and costs associated with each. The installation was quick and thorough, and the inspector mentioned that the installation was much more stable than needed. Mr. Dunn came by a few weeks later to check out the finished product and answer any questions we may have. Excellent service and responsiveness. The door adds a real wow factor to our entrance, and is ready for stormy weather."

To move a couch through a narrow doorway, first measure the couch and the doorway to ensure it will fit. For a close fit, you can create more space by removing the interior door; tap out the hinge pins with a nail and shift the door sideways to remove it from its hinges. You may need to turn the couch on its side or move it in separate pieces, if possible. Using furniture sliders can also help you slide the couch through the doorway.
Yes, but adding a deadbolt to some door materials, like steel, may make installation a little bit trickier. For these materials, you will want to hire a locksmith to do the work for you, but be aware that they may charge an additional fee of $25 to $50 or more.

Yes, doggie doors, like all entrances, can let both hot and cold air into your home. However, as with any door in your house, you can take steps to weather-strip your pet's entrance to prevent air leaks.
Most modern, standard doors are 1 ⅜-inches thick, so you should aim for this thickness unless you're building a door to replace an antique door or fit into a non-standard wall opening. Thickness varies when installing a pocket door or sliding barn door, so a good rule of thumb is to measure your existing door, if possible. For standard doors, you can also measure from the inside of the door to the door stop to gauge the proper thickness.
