"Jordan and his helper were exceptional. Jordan was polite, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about the products he was installing. It was a great pleasure working with Jordan. He went out of his way to make sure that we had a pleasurable experience with the installation of five windows in a door. At first we were expecting it to be a nightmare but Jordan made it into a dream. Window Depot is very lucky to have an employee like Jordan representing their company."

"Tory & Christopher were very friendly and easy to work with. They did excellent work and they answer all my questions and told me if I have any more questions once the job was completed I can give them a call any time. They did their job very well; I felt comfortable with them doing the job. The garage was very clean when they left."

"Exceptional experience with A1. From the initial estimate and contract, timing of order, and office coordination; A-1 kept me informed and up to date right up until time for instillation. "LOOK! Another awesome job by Solarshield Industries Roofing. I originally called 3 companies for roof estimates. Solarshield came out within 2 days of my call. I was so impressed with the Solarshield system of roofing, the quality of their materials, and the transferable lifetime warranty, that I made my decision to go with Solarshield. I already had one other estimate, and cancelled the third. Every statement made to me by the Solarshield salesman regarding terms, time frames, quality of their materials and workmanship was only exceeded by their performance. The office manager was always informative, polite, and kept me up to date on all work scheduled. The installers are craftsmen. The work is precision. The workplace was cleaned up every day, regardless of the time they left my premises. I could NOT have made a better choice than Solarshield Industries, and they were recommended to me by former Solarshield customers. Can't get better than that!"

"The quality of the installation wasn't very good; I had to have them come back several times. They ended up having to install a new door. However, the main principle of the company did come out afterwards to make some minor adjustments and to make sure we were satisfied."

"I selected this company because they said they could give me a tub surround in lieu of the tile. After we were into the contract they said that they could not get it within a certain time frame. Nevertheless, we agreed to let them put in a 3 piece surround instead of the original 1 piece surround. The leader was very congenial and tried to satisfy everything. They have an excellent admin person, Sofia, who answers the phones."

Egress Windows questions, answered by experts

An egress window is similar to a regular window. However, this type of window opens fully to allow people to escape the home or rescue personnel to enter the home if an emergency occurs. Egress windows are required in all finished basements before they can be considered a living space.

Yes, with modifications or the use of adapter kits for tricky placements.

Expect excavation below grade, creating a well for access, weatherproofing, and thorough inspections during setup.

Basements are generally required to have windows for your safety. At a minimum, windows should provide an egress in the event of a fire. But basement windows do more than offer a way out; basement windows also offer natural light and ventilation in an area of your home that is otherwise dark and musty.

Egress windows require regular maintenance to ensure they function correctly. This includes cleaning the glass, inspecting the frame and well for debris, and making sure the cover or well drains properly. It is also important to check that the window sills and wells are watertight and to inspect and repair any damage to the window frame or seals to prevent leaks and maintain functionality.
