"Highly recommend this company. Our house was built in 2020 and the hardwoods were installed by TPA Hardwood Flooring Systems during the build. Unfortunately, due to problems with excess moisture the floors buckled in one area of the dining room. When we bought our house, it was purchased â as isâ meaning the builder and contractors had no obligation to come back and fix any issues. Our builder connected us with Eddie, the owner of TPA Hardwood. Not only did Eddie agree to repair the buckled flooring, but he also sanded down and refinished all of the flooring in the main area of our home. This was a 5 day job that required new flooring, and at least 40 hours of labor. Eddie not only covered the cost of the material, but also covered the labor. I offered to cover the cost of material and he wouldnâ t allow it. They have completed the repair and refinishing of our floors (5 full days of work with multiple guys) and the house looks brand new again. Companies like this are incredibly hard to come by. I would truly recommend Eddie and TPA Hardwood Flooring Systems to anybody looking to repair, refinish, or install hardwood floors. We are so grateful for all of their hard work and integrity. Thank you Eddie!"

"C & J Flooring did what they said they would do and more. Cory and Devon worked very hard to get the floor installed in 2 1/2 days. They also completed a paint job that needed finishing. Everything looks fantastic and I would definitely hire this company again!!"

"Extremely impressed with this company. From the start, Ms Bevin came to the house and spent a lot of time assessing our floors, measuring, and giving us options. She was very knowledgeable and we made the decision to go with company. Eddie installed luxury vinyl flooring in our entire house. He was always on time and personable. Best of all, EDDIE TURNED OUT TO BE THE BEST INSTALLER I'VE EVER SEEN. HE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND PERFECTION. I WAS AMAZED AT HIS WORK AND COULD NEVER FIND ANYONE TO OUT MATCH HIS EXPERTISE. SO PLEASE WITH OUR NEW FLOOR! THANK YOU REFLOOR FOR SENDING US THE BEST!!!!"

"Our ground level cement floor in the living area and laundry was exposed when we had to remove the vinyl flooring after flooding issue . We discovered cracks as well as a very high moisture level even after four months of drying..We spoke with two other contractors that told us that there system would not work due to the moisture level then we met with Randy the owner of Floor Groomers. Randy discussed our situation with his suppliers technical people and put together a plan and cost associated with the work. The project was completed on schedule and on budget and we cannot say enough about how patient and responsive Randy has been throughout the entire job. If youâ re considering a similar project or any floor project floor groomers is my recommendation. Tony & Sandy C"

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Sheet vinyl is among the most affordable and durable flooring options, with prices as low as $0.50 per square foot and a lifespan of 10 to 20 years. Other inexpensive and durable choices include standard vinyl plank ($2 to $7 per square foot), which mimics wood or stone and is great for high-traffic areas. Laminate flooring ($1 to $6 per square foot), linoleum, carpeting, and concrete can also be cost-effective options, with prices starting around $2 per square foot.

Linoleum flooring lasts about 20 to 40 years. While it is durable, it does wear out from foot traffic and even the weight of furniture over time. It can also become faded or discolored from sunlight streaming in through the windows.

The relative cost of adding an epoxy coating to your garage varies compared to other flooring materials and the type of epoxy. For example, epoxy can cost between $3 to $12 per square foot to install, which typically costs more than other garage flooring options, such as concrete sealers, vinyl, and concrete stain. In comparison, vinyl SPC flooring for garages cost between $3.50 to $8 per square foot and concrete sealer costs $50 to $420, depending on the type of sealant.

A transition piece between carpet stairs and wood flooring isn't always necessary. A transition piece separates two types of flooring in between rooms and areas, like carpet and vinyl. Because the carpet on the stairs tucks into the seam, you can’t see the fringes, and there is no need to hide anything. However, you can use a stair cap if your stairs have a nose.

Luxury vinyl flooring is the best for pet owners, as it holds up well against scratches and accidents. Non-slip stone or porcelain tile are great options as well. Each of these also provide a less slippery surface for pups that like to run around.

As for the flooring options to avoid, these are hardwood, laminate, and carpeting. Claws can scratch hardwood and tear up carpeting. On top of that, removing dog urine from hardwood floors can be difficult; likewise with carpeting. Laminate holds up much better, but it’s super slippery (especially for dogs).
