"After 4 other contractors was stunned by the way my home was constructed ,(non-wooden frame house ) this company guaranteed he knew what to do.I trusted the process and then next day he came out, reinforced my ceiling that literally could’ve killed someone and fix the problem, very promptly, professionally and reasonable. Any other drywall work “ will” be done by Davis drywall."

"We initially chose Eddie s Drywall to remove our popcorn ceiling texture and replace with knockdown for two reasons: (1) Eddie and his partner do all the work themselves rather than subcontractors, and (2) they remove all the plastic sheeting and tarps every night so that you can still occupy the home during the project. We are thrilled with the outcome and cannot speak highly enough about our experience with them. They communicate well beforehand and during the project so we knew what to expect, they are punctual, careful and respectful of your property and deliver 100% of what they promise. Eddie even brought us a gallon of matching paint for future touch-ups if needed after completion of the project, just as he d promised. He is a business owner that works the job and stays on site until the project is fully completed. He is truly dedicated to quality, customer service and has integrity. We would definitely hire him in the future for other drywall or painting projects and will highly recommend him to family and friends."

His attention to detail and craftsmanship were evident in every aspect of the project—from the smooth, seamless drywall finish to the perfectly aligned baseboards and the clean, professional paint job. Drywall questions, answered by experts

Depending on how much adhesive was used as well as the strength of the adhesive, you may have some drywall damage when removing a mirror. You can typically repair most drywall damage if it’s small by sanding the damaged area, applying spackle to smooth the damaged section so it’s flush with the rest of the wall, and repainting the area.

If you're comfortable hanging drywall yourself, you may be comfortable finishing it. But it's worth noting that finishing drywall adds several steps to the process and a lot of waiting time. Hiring a drywall installer may be the way to go if you'd rather spend your time doing other things or are nervous about leaving a rough surface.

Technically speaking, you can use drywall primer over plasters. However, oil-based primers work the most effectively on wall plasters. Meanwhile, water-based primers work just as well with drywalls. Nowadays, there are also universal primers suitable for drywall and plaster. Overall, you will be fine as long as you are using a trustworthy brand.

It's generally recommended to hang drywall on the ceiling first before moving on to the walls. This sequence allows the ceiling sheets to provide support for the vertical wall sheets. By attaching the ceiling drywall initially, you establish a solid framework to align and attach the wall panels accurately. This method ensures a seamless and sturdy connection between the ceiling and walls, resulting in a more professional finish.

Look for flaking paint or air bubbles that burst and then flake away. Paint will begin to flake after being exposed to minimal moisture or water, so it’s a good indicator of any water damage. If you notice your paint starting to flake, feel the plaster underneath to see if it is soft or damp.
