"Jeremy is an excellent worker with a high attention to detail. He showed up on time, and was able to help me with numerous drywall repairs that I?ve had pop up since we built the home 8 years ago. New corner beads and drywall holes repaired.. Highly recommend!"

"Weâ ve used Eddieâ s painting services 3 times- first time for our previous home exterior, second time for our current home interior 5 years ago, and third time for our current home exterior a few weeks ago. They also pressure washed our driveway and walkway in a flash. We didnâ t think twice about hiring him again or calling around for pricing. Eddie and his crew will provide high quality service and performance in a timely manner, you wonâ t have to keep an eye on them or clean up after they leave, heâ s extremely pleasant to deal with and will give you a fair price using (in this case) not a â big boxâ or watered down paint. Also, donâ t worry about them showing up when you expect them. A paint job ends up with being about details, thatâ s exactly what you can expect from Eddieâ s Drywall Enterprises!! Well done Eddie as always!!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

When choosing materials for finishing basement walls, consider factors such as moisture resistance, durability, and fire resistance. Opt for materials specifically designed for basement environments, like moisture-resistant drywall or cement board. Insulation with vapor barriers can help regulate temperature and prevent condensation. Consider using mold-resistant paints or coatings.

Research and consult with experts to select materials that are suitable for your specific basement conditions and intended use. Prioritize quality and compatibility to achieve long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing results.

Water-damaged drywall should almost always be replaced. Not only does it look bad, it’s a breeding ground for toxic mold. Even if you think the area is dry and there’s no active leak, the only way to be sure is to cut out the damaged area and see for yourself.

If you’re looking for a reliable plaster repair company, you should start by researching local companies in your area and reviewing their status with the Better Business Bureau. Next, you can contact the potential companies to ask about experience levels, get a list of references, and ask for examples of past work. If you have a textured wall, consider asking if they have examples or references for that particular texture. This method should help you narrow your search even further. You may also want to ask each company if they provide a warranty for their work.

Wet-sanding and dry-sanding each have pros and cons. Dry-sanding is less messy, so it’s a good option if you’re trying to minimize dust (for example, if you’re sanding an occupied home or working with particularly dry or dusty drywall mud). However, dry-sanding is quicker because you don’t have to keep rinsing a sponge or wait for it to dry before painting.

Whether it’s better to screw or glue drywall depends on your specific budget and project timeline. Professional drywall installers are more likely to use screws and fasteners than adhesives, but it takes longer. But if you are DIYing your drywall installation, glue is a perfectly fine choice if you’re willing to pay extra for adhesive.
