"Reliable, responsible, and honest. The crews did great work, didnâ t dawdle and gave us a beautiful finished product. We are very happy with the work, and will definitely hire Benjamin Drywall Again. Weâ ve already recommended them to several of our neighbors. They install drywall in our master bedroom in our bathroom and closet. They also repaired some drywall, and then put texture on the ceilingâ s and all of the walls."

"Jeremy is an excellent worker with a high attention to detail. He showed up on time, and was able to help me with numerous drywall repairs that I?ve had pop up since we built the home 8 years ago. New corner beads and drywall holes repaired.. Highly recommend!"

"Jason and his brother were on time (early) Which I appreciate. They moved a huge piece of furniture and couch. Then installed a new electrical outlet, Mounted a tv bracket and hung a large flat screen tv. Amazing results, no wires. They also patched stuccoed and painted the wall. They cleaned up the entire area and it looks terrific. Highly recommend them."

"This was a large project at over 1800 sqft in a house we live in - furniture all over the place, pictures et al on walls, and pets. They moved what they could to the garage and covered everything else from the ceiling down to the floors. We went with the less expensive knock-down finish and it looks beautiful! They cleaned up and put the furniture back. Our project took about 16 hours over three days and I think we paid a very fair price (actually less than we expected to pay). If you've considered this type of renovation but you heard that popcorn removal was really expensive, ask for a quote."

Hi! My name is Devon, I am 21 years old and a soon to be father. I work full time at a paper mill and I am looking to launch my own business taking care of the residents of northeast Florida who need all different kinds of services. I specialize in junk and waste removal, but offer services such as property cleanup and management as well as exterior pressure washing and certain demolition. I appreciate any future business opportunities given to me by the great community of this state. God bless America!

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Yes, as drywall mud is going to have some uneven spots and bumps after application. Such imperfections are going to be visible after everything dries and even after you paint the wall, so you want to remove them. Learning how to sand drywall, taking your time, and following drywall sanding tips can help you have the best results.

Which style of corner bead you choose—whether metal or paper-faced—depends on your preference and if you’re comfortable using metal-cutting tools and a hammer. Metal bead offers superior strength and durability but its installation is slightly more involved. We’d say for most cases, it’s better to use metal bead but if you’re not comfortable working with metal, paper-faced bead will work just fine.

Drywall anchors won’t work on plaster. Instead, they will more than likely cause more damage and pull out the plaster. The best type of anchors to use on plaster walls are the ones that will bite into the surrounding area, such as molly bolts and toggle bolts. Masonry anchors with expanders on the sides also work for lighter pictures.

Yes, you can hammer a nail into a wall stud. But before you do, it’s important to confirm that you’re actually nailing into a stud—and not wiring, pipes, or ductwork. To check, find a few more studs in the wall, then measure to make sure they’re either 16 or 24 inches apart.

Yes, it matters which side of drywall you use. One side is smooth, and the other is rough. The smooth side should be facing outward, toward the room, while the rough side should be hidden and facing the studs and framing of the house. The smooth side will be easier to apply tape, joint compound, and, later, paint to.
