"Jeremy is an excellent worker with a high attention to detail. He showed up on time, and was able to help me with numerous drywall repairs that I?ve had pop up since we built the home 8 years ago. New corner beads and drywall holes repaired.. Highly recommend!"

"Kevin did an outstanding job with the drywall installation, baseboard work, and painting in our home. His attention to detail and craftsmanship were evident in every aspect of the project—from the smooth, seamless drywall finish to the perfectly aligned baseboards and the clean, professional paint job. He was punctual, respectful, and kept the work area tidy throughout the process. We couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended!"

"Excellent work great job. I was very happy with the results of everything they did for me. They first pressure washed my home then replaced my stairs up to my house and took off the back half of my porch that was in very bad condition they also enclosed my porch and painted it all. I couldnâ t have asked for better services. Would definitely recommend"

"If you are looking for a paint or drywall contractor, look no further. Felipe and his crew did a fantastic job for me and my family. He communicated clearly and often, was always there when he said he would be, the service was flawless, they cleaned up well, and I couldn’t be happier. This is one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor, highly recommended! Even the little things like saying good morning to my wife and kids, asking us if we needed help on other projects. A good man and a great company. Thumbs up!!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

There are six levels of drywall finish, from 0 to 5, that refer to the amount of work performed during the finishing process.

Level 0: Drywall is hung with no finishing work.

Level 1: Tape is placed over the seams between drywall sheets.

Level 2: A thin layer of mud is applied over the tape and screw holes. This level is common for utility rooms or walls that will be covered.

Level 3: A full coat of mud covers the screw holes and tape, but the surface is not sanded. This is often used in garages.

Level 4: This is the most common finish for visible interior walls. It involves applying two coats of mud over seams and screw holes, with sanding between each coat, creating a smooth surface ready for flat paint.

Level 5: This is a high-end finish for luxury homes. It includes full taping, mudding, and sanding, plus a final skim coat over the entire surface before painting.

Pros ensure smooth finishes and lasting repairs, avoiding visible patches.

Wet-sanding and dry-sanding each have pros and cons. Dry-sanding is less messy, so it’s a good option if you’re trying to minimize dust (for example, if you’re sanding an occupied home or working with particularly dry or dusty drywall mud). However, dry-sanding is quicker because you don’t have to keep rinsing a sponge or wait for it to dry before painting.

Drywall anchors won’t work on plaster. Instead, they will more than likely cause more damage and pull out the plaster. The best type of anchors to use on plaster walls are the ones that will bite into the surrounding area, such as molly bolts and toggle bolts. Masonry anchors with expanders on the sides also work for lighter pictures.

It’s always better to follow proven drywall repair tips and fix the seams that look bad. However, if you simply want to make them less noticeable until you have time to fix them, you can use paint. A darker color of paint makes bad drywall tape seams less noticeable than light-colored paint. Matte paint hides bad seams better than glossy paint does, too.
