If you want to replace popcorn ceilings with beautiful knockdown ceilings, Lyke's Drywall is the company for you! The work they did completely changed the look of our house. They were very informative about the process and we knew exactly what to expect. They were also prompt and efficient. We're so glad we chose them.

The job turned out great and looks like new. I’m very pleased with it. It took portions of three days to complete. They stayed in touch each day regarding the schedule. To all you DIYers out there take my advice and don’t attempt drywall ceiling repairs like I did. This work is both a skill and an art form and requires the right equipment, talent and experience. Seriously great people and real drywall pros. I’d definitely hire them again and wholeheartedly recommend them.

Great communication, received estimate within 24 hours, took 4 days (1600 sq ft) and we had to leave. The ceilings look AMAZING and there was very little clean up. Oh, did I say I have AWESOME ceilings. They did a great job, I cannot get over how detailed and careful they were. I would use them again and recommend them as well.

Good price. Those guys are very professional. All A's, they are really good. They had good marks on Angie's List. So, they continue to provide great services.

Tony gave me a quote by phone and I agreed to the work. I asked him to email me a quote and invoice. I informed him several times by email that I had not received the written quote prior to the work being done. They arrived on time and did a nice job. The price was good and they did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. We did wind up having a problem with the thickeness of the drywall. Because we took paneling down, there was a difference in the thickeness of the finished walls, which caused a problem with wood trim that was installed afterwards. The company that did our trim told us that a thicker drywall should have been used or it should have been built out from the wall with thicker wood strips. The result was about a 1/4" gap between the drywall and the trim around the doors and windows. The big problem I had with them is that they ignored repeated attempts to get some kind of invoice receipt for the work done. I explained to them that I needed it for insurance purposes but they would not return phone calls or emails.

The drywall repairs couldn't have come out any better.  First, Greg, with Lyke's Drywall arrived promptly and was both professional and friendly. The main thing I wanted done was to move a medicine cabinet from one wall to another. It came out perfectly.  You can't even tell there was ever a medicine cabinet in the wall that I had it removed from.  Greg not only patched the opening perfectly, he managed to exactly apply the orange peel effect to the wall so it would match the rest of the wall. He then made an opening in another wall where I wanted the medicine cabinet to be relocated to and explained he had to take into consideration if there were pipes or anything else that could be in the wall.  Again, he show his professionalism and experience in doing this job.  He even took the extra step of installing the cabinet for me. He also took care of other small areas of drywall damage I had around the house.  He even pointed out a couple to me since he had some time remaining.  All the drywall work was done expertly and I will definitely be using Lyke's Drywall Services again.

We had water damage which required some drywall repair, some painting and a lot of knockdown drywall work.

Tony arrived at my house, took measurements and gave me a quote which was the lowest of 3 competitors.  I would have probably chosen Lyke's anyhow since Tony did the best job setting expectations and communicating the work to be performed.  The estimates were all pretty close to each other overall.

When the work began, Tony and Greg did an immaculate job of covering the walls and furniture in plastic.  Our downstairs looked like a scene from "Dexter".

When your kitchen is covered in plastic for 3 days you find that you forgot that you needed this or that.  Greg and Tony were very accommodating and created paths to the refrigerator and provided slits to access key essentials downstairs; even though it added work for them.

  Overall, what could have been a very rough 3 days was much easier thanks to their professionalism and overall pleasant demeanor.

The work was completed on schedule, and I was charged exactly what I was quoted.

I was extremely satisfied with the results.  They did a beautiful job.

Not only would I recommend Lyke's Drywall, I would go out of my way to do so.  They're a great company.

Tony was very professional and friendly. He made me feel better about my "mess" he was very meticulous and did the job excellently. Hey make sure that all of my drywall issues were completely taken care of. He also cleaned up after himself and left me no mess.

Tony did an excellent job on our ceiling. He finished in one day and everything was done with quality. Tony made sure everything was protected by laying down plastic. He was polite and courteous and went beyond what we needed. I would definitely use his services again.

The sheet rock repairs went very smoothly.  I am still looking at my ceilings amazed at how well they were able to repair half the ceilings in my house.  This is a dirty job and took 3 days to complete but well worth it.  Thank you for your professionalism.

I was very impressed and would refer Lyke's without any hesitation.  
They showed up when they said they would and completed the job in the time frame they gave.  They taped everything off and took care of the place as well as cleaned up their mess when they left (even though I paid them in advance).  The ceiling looks great. Clearly, they take pride and ownership in their work!   
They were referred to me by a direct competitor that was unable to do the work in my time frame.  His words were, "I've seen his work and I'd use them.  I have had to do repair work done by other vendors but not him".

The quality of the work was fantastic and they were SUPERCLEAN!  Greg did a fantastic job and it looks like I never stepped thru the ceiling.  Any future Drywall needs for my family will no doubt be done by Lyke's Drywall.  Top notch!

My wife and I, both DIYers, tore down the plaster walls in the stairway of our 90 year old home and put up drywall. We did this decades ago when we were new at remodeling and our kids were young. I didn't do the best job of getting the drywall up, and we did fairly well at finishing it. Then we papered it and it stayed that way for years. Then we decided to turn the stairs into a family photo gallery. It stayed that way for years before we got tired of knocking the pictures off the wall every time we moved furniture up or down the stairs. so we took down all the pictures, stripped off all the wallpaper, and removed all the plastic anchors from the drywall. Then we tried to patch all the holes, the various gouges and scuffs from furniture and luggage (not to mention two boys who left their marks), as well as the areas where the wallpaper tore the facing off the drywall. It was a patching nightmare. My poor wife spent countless hours, day, weeks months,  sanding, mudding and re-sanding trying to repair the endless array of damage. This went on for weeks and months as we both had many other commitments, We even considered tearing down the drywall and putting up new, as we felt that would be less work. Finally, we both agreed we needed to get a professional to help. We checked on Angie's list and found several drywall companies that had excellent reviews. We selected Lyke's as it was the best reviewed company that did repairs. After reading several of the reviews, I was convinced this was a good company to get for our job. Within minutes of submitting my request on Angie's list, I got a call from Tony Lyke. I discussed the job with him and arranged for one of his employees, Greg, to come estimate the job. All went exactly as planned, Greg estimated the job and even told us what we could do as far as prep work to save on the cost of the job. We did the prep work and scheduled him to come out for the finishing work. After seeing the progress at the end of the first of the three consecutive days he worked here, I was overjoyed! Needless to say when he was done, I was so relieved to finally have the PERFECTLY smooth walls I thought we would never see again, I was almost speechless. The result is superlative. I told Greg he would be back to finish the other walls as we make our way through our 2nd or third remodel. We'll never use anyone else for our drywall needs!!!

Greg came out and measured the job.  Tony called with an estimate and we scheduled a time to do the job.  Greg and Chris showed up on schedule and did a great job installing and taping the drywall.  They worked quickly and professionally and the job looked great when they were done.  Tony then came by and applied the knockdown ceiling which looked really good when he was done. Gabriel then came by and did the finishing sanding. Every person on the crew was professional and courteous they all arrived when they said they would and the quality of their work was outstanding.  We would definitely call them again and highly recommend them to anyone.  We should also mention, they gave us the lowest bid by a long shot. With all of the construction problems we encountered getting the building built, it was a real pleasure to work with pros.
