"Jeff was honest and very fair priced. He was punctual and ready to work. He brought all of the supplies and materials needed for the job. He explained to me how he was going to fix my crown molding on a curved wall that someone else could not complete and then disappeared. The result is fantastic!! He repaired and repainted my wall and ceiling which had been damaged prior. He also made sure everything was clean before he left. I am currently making a list of other projects for him to fix and repair. Thank you All Trades Handyman Services!!!! Great Job! I am so happy! I have already recommended this company to my neighbor. "We hired Magical Mike for several projects which included painting a room, fixing outdoor light fixtures, installing new front door screen, cleaning high windows and blinds, and installing new outlet. A three day project. His team was very thorough, professional and respectful. Special recognition to Polito who did most of the work and to Rob who came to help finish the projects. Pricing was reasonable and we will definitely hire Magical Mike Handyman services again for future projects."

Yes, you should hire a handyman who’s licensed, certified, and insured, if possible. States have different requirements for handyman licensing, registration, and certifications. If licensing is required in your area, you may pay more for a licensed handyman with experience than one who is not licensed or certified, but you’re likely to get a better end result for your project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local handymen guidelines.

It really depends on what you are hiring them for

Helpful?

The longevity of handyman projects in Saint Augustine relies on using coastal-rated materials, ensuring proper ventilation to reduce humidity, and applying thorough weatherproofing. Local homes often face termite activity and salt corrosion, so pest-resistant products and rust-proof fasteners are essential. Scheduling work around the rainy season and allowing extra drying time for finishes helps projects endure Saint Augustine’s climate and meet local property maintenance standards.

Helpful?

For mailbox repair, keep touch-up paint rated for high UV and humidity to combat the harsh FL climate. Salt air accelerates rust and wood rot rapidly. Keep your HOA or historic district approved specifications on hand to ensure any fixes match community standards exactly. You should also store bracing materials to temporarily secure your post before a tropical storm arrives, preventing it from becoming a dangerous projectile.

Helpful?

Completing a mailbox repair directly boosts your curb appeal, which carries outsized weight in the Saint Augustine real estate market. Buyers are drawn to the aesthetic cohesion of local neighborhoods. In HOA-governed communities, a well-maintained mailbox prevents violation notices. Florida law requires sellers to disclose open HOA violations, meaning an unrepaired mailbox will directly complicate a home sale. Keep your property compliant and attractive to impress potential buyers.

Helpful?

Always check your HOA rules and local regulations before starting any mailbox repair. Document the existing damage with photos for your FL homeowner's insurance records. Avoid attempting to reset a leaning post yourself during the rainy season, as saturated sandy soil will not hold it. Never use temporary fixes heading into hurricane season, because a poorly braced post becomes a severe projectile hazard in high winds.
