"Tom came to my house and gave me an honest and detailed explanation of the job that was going to be done. Everyday he worked he answered all questions, went above and beyond his work, and even when a lot more work was added on, the price did not go up that much. The new floors in the house look amazing and even helped waterproof parts of the inside and outside of the house. Anyone that needs flooring, waterproofing, or just a professional opinion should seek Tom out."

"Don, Josh, Andrew, and Dillon showed up on time and worked long hours to secure our home and save it from a failing foundation. Brandon had explained the process and our options well, and they were able get all permits in place and start work earlier than expected. Care was taken to respect the landscaping, and protect the water supply. Thank you all! We can highly recommend this crew."

"CFS sent out a crew, a day earlier than expected...a giant plus. The 2 man crew (it was a small project), arrived and explained what they would be doing and then went straight to work. After completion of the work, the crew cleaned up the worksite area and then explained again what they had done, how long to let it cure before painting and even suggested a quality paint. Cleaning up afterwards is a giant plus. The 2 man crew were friendly, polite and professional and down to earth with their explanations. The final plus with Central Florida Stucco was that they gave me a military discount."

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

Water damage to concrete is often gradual and can take months, if not years, for a concrete structure to be fully destroyed. The process often starts with cracks on the surface, followed by sinking slabs and eventually crumbling cement. Therefore, it is important to repair minor damages early to prevent the situation from worsening.

Signs include persistent dampness, mold or mildew presence, musty odors, and visible water stains. If any of these occur, it is advisable to contact a professional for an inspection.

While "dry" mode on your AC can help reduce humidity levels to some extent, it may not be as effective as a dedicated dehumidifier, especially in areas with extremely high humidity or larger spaces. Dehumidifiers are specifically designed to remove moisture from the air more efficiently, making them a better choice for tackling persistent humidity issues.

Yes, it is possible to over-dehumidify a house by removing too much moisture from the air. This can create an overly dry environment that negatively affects those with respiratory or skin issues, and may cause your skin, hair, and sinuses to feel dry. However, this is unlikely to happen with most modern dehumidifiers, as they are equipped with moisture sensors and adjustable settings. These features allow the unit to pause automatically when the desired humidity level is reached, preventing the air from becoming uncomfortably dry. In contrast, older or more basic dehumidifiers left running for too long could potentially over-dry the air. To avoid this, aim for a balance between removing excess moisture and maintaining a comfortable environment. You can often monitor your home's humidity levels using a modern thermostat for guidance.

Although the two terms are closely related and often used interchangeably, pier and beam foundations and crawl spaces are different things. A pier and beam foundation is made up of concrete piers and wooden beams and creates a space under the home known as a crawl space. There are several types of foundations that create crawl spaces, often collectively known as “crawl space foundations,” but the crawl space itself is separate from the foundation.
