"Master Movers - very professional, careful, thorough and personable. This goes not only for Colin, the driver, but the whole four-man crew. They handled the furniture with care, carefully wrapping most for storage. Likewise, our delicate and valued items were carefully wrapped and boxed. We have moved several times. This was, without a doubt, the best, smoothest and most professional move we've ever had."

"Kimberly was professional. responsive, and incredibly helpful! Brandin and Cody who moved us, were absolutely amazing! They are personable, quick without sacrificing appropriate care of our furniture and delicate possessions and such a pleasure to work with. Couldn't recommend or praise them enough."

"Caleb from the sales team was great to deal with. Quickly followed up and provided a quote. Then followed up again few day before the move to confirm the details. The cost was very reasonable. On moving day I had the pleasure of dealing with Braxton and Todd. They were fantastic and great energy. Took good care of all the furniture they moved. We’re very efficient. Would definitely recommend using Teleport moving and will use them in the future again"

"After getting ridiculous quotes from the “major carriers” for a local move, a friend recommended White Glove Moving and Storage. I gave them a call and was very pleasantly surprised at their fair prices. On moving day, four men got to work right away. They were very professional, pleasant, courteous and efficient. They took great care wrapping and loading our expensive furniture. When we arrived at our new home, not one scratch or dent on any of our possessions. They moved and placed each piece of furniture in different locations until we were completely satisfied. I have moved many times in my life and I can honestly say that I have never had such a stress free move, ever! Look no further, this is the firm you want for your move. I highly recommend White Glove Moving and Storage."

"We had a great experience with Jochas moving company. My mother-in-law previously used Jochas to move her garage and patio furniture to a new place and they were complete with their project in under an hour! She referred the company to us for an efficient and budget-friendly moving solution and I am so glad she did. It took just under three hours for the three movers to load the moving truck with our furniture and belongs, travel 10 miles north, and unload our items. I am halfway through unpacking and nothing has been broken or damaged from the move. Dave was our lead team member and we also had Charles and Gyasi to help us move. They were professional and very kind. Thank you!"

Piano Moving questions, answered by experts

Movers know the best way to pack different items to protect them during a move and make the most of the space in a moving truck. You can pack your belongings to save money, but there’s a higher risk of damage.

It is best to book a moving company two to three months before your move-out date. This provides enough time to compare rates, organize your belongings, and find an available crew for your desired day and time. While you might find movers with only one or two weeks' notice, some companies require booking up to 90 days in advance.

Planning ahead is especially important if you're moving during the busy summer season when demand is highest. Summer weekends, in particular, book up quickly. Securing your movers well in advance helps you avoid the stress and potential extra fees of last-minute arrangements.

It's typically best to hire movers who specialize in moving pianos because moving them often requires specific equipment and finesse, especially when it comes to grand pianos. However, some standard moving companies have experienced piano movers on their team, so it never hurts to call a company and ask about their piano moving expertise.

If you need to move heavy furniture inside your house, like a grandfather clock, consider hiring professional movers for this service, too. Many moving companies advertise in-house moving services, including transporting heavy items to different rooms or floors of the house. It’s best to hire professional movers for this task to avoid damaging parts of your home, like narrow stairways or flooring, or the item during the process.

It is certainly possible to move a piano without hiring movers, but it’s not recommended. Not only will you need at least four people to lift and maneuver the piano, but getting it around tight corners and down flights of stairs might not be possible without the help of movers. Plus, pianos are exceptionally heavy and bulky, which means you and any helping hands are at risk of injury, as well as an increased risk of damaging your piano. Ultimately, it’s always worth it to call in a professional piano mover.
