"I hired global lawn care to get my palm tree looking healthy again and to cut many hanging branches off of my oak tree that was hanging directly over my well. They went above and beyond to make sure that I would not have to worry about any branches hitting my well pump and my palm tree looks great! Upon completing the removal of all the branches and palm frawns they went ahead and mowed the lawn with the cleanup. They will definitely be my lawn company from here on in!!! Thank you Global Lawn Care for a fantastic job."

Small jobs welcome

"Marin Brothers have being cutting my lawn for over a year. They are dependable, hardworking and thorough. They mow, edge, blow away clippings, weed and trim bushes when needed. I am totally satisfied with their weekly service. I also had them do several landscaping projects. One was to remove existing plants and rocks in the lanai garden area. They replaced with new plantings and stones. It totally changed the look of my lanai. The other landscaping was in my front yard. They edged the area with large rocks and replaced plants and a palm tree. It now looks amazing. I would absolutely recommend them for any lawn care."

"This is by far the best experience i have had with a company in years. I usually only write reviews of really poor service to warn consumers. But i this time i wanted to tell people what an amazing experience i had. Company showed up on time and went to work not stoping until late in evening not even for breaks other than to grab a water. Guys cleaned up all materials and tools to return the next day. Materials used were very good quality. Employees were polite, dillegent, explained any part of the process i question about. Ask me questions about my priorities and concerns. I have an enormous amount of landscaping, including fruit trees ,orchids and expensive exotics. I was impressed with their knowledge of the work they were hired for but amazed by the mens knowledge of the plants ,the plant names, and each plants requirements of water , nutrition and light. Placing extra heads on plants requiring more water. They explanied each part of the process, placement, the conections, controls and what to do in the event i had a ploblem. When install was complete they took time to re-rake and tamp down all digging done to prevent loss of grass and to encourage quick coverage of the distrubed areas. Re planted any ground cover they had to disrupt. Above and beyond they changed a water outlet that was not installed in a convient manner and repaired the hot and cold water connection that had been installed incorrectly to my outdoor shower. I am a very picky person about services, quality of work and work ethics. These people amazed and impressed me! They go above expectations. When i told a freind about rainscape she replied " wow they must be really really good to have impressed you. I dont think i have heard you were impressed by a company ever.""

Lawn Care questions, answered by experts

Yes, watering after you level a lawn is essential. Water helps settle the soil, eliminating air pockets and encouraging the newly-applied topdressing to bond with the existing surface. Adequate watering aids in achieving a smoother and more even lawn surface. However, be sure to avoid overwatering, which could lead to soil erosion or compaction issues.

Many experts say anytime before 10 a.m. is a good time to water grass, but this does depend a bit on the climate conditions where you live. For example, if you live in South Florida and it’s already 95 degrees by 7:30 a.m., it may simply be too hot to effectively water your lawn, regardless of what the time is.

Avoid watering your plants once temperatures regularly reach freezing temperatures or lower. Water won’t make it down to the roots at that point—it’ll just freeze to the topsoil level.

While it's a good idea to water your grass during a drought or when temperatures are high, you should not water your lawn every day. For most lawns, watering one to three times per week is sufficient. Avoid watering in the middle of the day or when the temperature is above 95 degrees Fahrenheit, as the extreme heat will cause the water to evaporate before the soil can fully absorb it. The best time to water your lawn in the summer is in the early morning at dawn or in the early evening, such as between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., when it's cooler.

Signs of an overwatered lawn can be visual, physical, or related to pests and weeds. Visually, the grass may appear yellow, wilted, patchy, or thin instead of green and lush. You might also notice the presence of mushrooms, other fungal growths, or an increase in weeds like crabgrass. Physically, the soil may be waterlogged, soggy, and perpetually damp. An overwatered lawn often feels mushy or makes a squishing sound underfoot, even several hours after watering. Additionally, you may see an increase in pests such as grubs. To prevent overwatering, ensure your lawn has proper drainage through periodic aeration and adjust your watering schedule to meet its actual needs.
