"Hired for continued service every week. Hired them as replacement to a previous pool maintenance service that I had to continually hunt down and correct issues like my pool getting algae and filter not cleaned. So new hire, so far so good... now going into week 4"

"OP pool repair and leak service was great, they fixed a problem we have been having for over 1 year. We had a leak and other companies could not find it so we thought that was it, We had to live with a leak that required us to fill our pool twice a week which was costing us a lot of money on water and extra chemicals to keep our pool blue. If you are having an issue with your pool, don’t think about it twice, give OP a call, they will not disappoint! 10/10 ??"

"Hired Gomez Pool Services to resurface out 18' x 36' pool and to replace several hard to turn & broken PVC ball-type valves. Also had a water leak at the skimmer needing repair. Erick called me the same day after submitting my request for an estimate and we scheduled a visit shortly after. Erik arrived promptly and gave me a very straight forward estimate which was well within what I had budgeted. He beat out two other pool companies whose estimators were more like sales people and who over-priced their estimates in every category of repair. The work was scheduled and the Erik & his work crew showed up on time and prepared the pool for resurfacing and a short time later the resurfacing was done and looked great. Next, Erik re-plumed in the new Pentaire valves reducing the 5 original valves down to 3 easy-to-operate ones. He also flushed out a partially clogged dedicated pool vacuum line for me as part of his service. Finally, he installed a salt-water chlorine generator I had requested. After a 6 week waiting period to be sure that the pool plaster had finish curing (during which time it was brushed daily), I added the initial bags of pool salt Eric supplied, and the automatic chlorine generator began making new chlorine every time the pump runs. I reinstalled the automatic pool cleaner and now my pool is shimmering clear blue every day. Like new again. Erik and his team are very professional and listen to any questions or concerns along the way. I would hire them again for any needed pool services."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

You should put chlorine in your hot tub on a regular basis. To keep bacteria away, keep the chlorine level in your hot tub at between 3-5 mg/l, which may mean you need to add chlorine daily or at least every two to three days. Don’t add chlorine to your hot tub water more than once per day.

When your hot tub is not in use, you can keep it at a constant soaking temperature of around 100 degrees Fahrenheit. For extended periods of non-use, you can lower the temperature by about five degrees. This slight decrease makes it easier and quicker to heat back up to a desirable level when you're ready to use it again. Additionally, you might consider lowering the temperature by a couple of degrees during the summer to avoid feeling overheated.

Shocking your hot tub means adding extra chemicals to the water. Most spa experts recommend doing this once a week for proper hot tub maintenance, but you can do it more if needed. Shocking has multiple benefits, including preventing the water from becoming murky and it’s essential in removing harmful bacteria from the water.

Yes. If you test the water and the alkalinity is too low, you can raise it by adding an alkalinity increaser, which likely came with your hot tub’s chemical kit. In a pinch, you can use baking soda to raise the hot tub’s alkalinity. Raising the alkalinity will prevent the hot tub water from becoming too acidic.

Yes, air baths are good for you. They promote relaxation, improve circulation, and can even hydrate your skin. Since they’re gentler than water jets and whirlpools, they are a good choice for a wide range of homes and users, from children to adults. You can maximize the benefits by using them regularly for stress relief and by pairing the bubble effects with calming music, low lighting or chronotherapy, aromatherapy, and other relaxation techniques.
