"The job was to pressure clean and resend about 3500 Sq ft of pavers on a driveway and patio. I give 4* for the pressure cleaning as some mold remained. Similarly for the resanding where many of the gaps around the pavers were still easily visible. Having said that, Elvis kept his word about timing and was very careful to cover the pool to protect it from debris. I must commend the fortitude of his employees for working all day in the heat. A bit more attention to detail and the experience would be 5*."

"One stop paver was recommended by a neighbor who had work done in the past. I met Eloy the owner for a quote for expanding my drive to accommodate a third car, Eloy was very professional, showed up on time and was very personable to myself and my wife. He provided a quote which we believed was a good rate. Eloy took care of the process of getting permits, soil test and ordering of the pavers, his crew was professional while on site making sure to clean up after themselves when they were done. My wife and I were extremely happy with the final results and have had several positive comments from our neighbors (one even wanted his number to get a quote). If you are looking to hire someone for your driveway you will be happy you choose One stop Pavers."

"Nothing but great things to say about this company. They replaced a door frame that was destroyed by my cat and painted some other door frames and all I can say is that it came out perfect. Yuri and Andre did an amazing job, showed up right on time (early actually) and were incredibly friendly. Keep up the good work! Highly recommended!"

"Phil was genuinely interested in resolving my problem with grease stains on driveway pavers. He went about the task and was ahead of schedule contending with the worst weather conditions. When he said he’d be at the property he was there with courtesy updates for me. I am very pleased and will refer him to anyone that I come into contact."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

You should not attempt to install your own driveway. Whether working with asphalt or pavement, this is a complicated project that requires special equipment. Talk to some nearby asphalt or paving professionals and discuss your particular needs—it’s a good idea to get a few quotes and look at the company’s past work.

It takes recycled asphalt 48 hours to initially harden and up to 3 months to fully cure. It’s best to stay off of recycled asphalt for at least 48 hours, then you can walk or drive standard vehicles on it. Hold off on driving heavy trucks or equipment on it for at least 7 days. Allowing the surface to melt together and harden ensures that the surface stays durable and long-lasting.

A solid driveway starts with the right asphalt mix, and for most homes, dense-graded hot mix asphalt (HMA) is the most recommended. It’s both durable and flexible, making it a reliable choice for residential use. A properly compacted 2-3 inch layer on a well-prepared crushed stone base will hold up for years. In areas with harsh winters or scorching summers, a slightly modified mix can help prevent cracking and rutting. No matter the climate, quality installation is just as important as the material itself, so hiring an experienced contractor ensures a smooth, long-lasting driveway built to last.

Instead of a set number of types, asphalt comes in variations designed for different needs. Some are categorized by temperature—hot mix, warm mix, and cold mix. Others are sorted by composition, like dense-graded, gap-graded (such as Stone Matrix Asphalt), porous, and mastic asphalt. There are also modified versions with added compounds like polymers, rubber, or emulsions. Instead of focusing on a number, it may be more useful to understand how contractors customize asphalt for durability, climate, and traffic conditions.

When asphalt cures, it typically changes from a very dark black hue to a lighter, more matte gray color. Cured asphalt also won’t be tacky or sticky to the touch or emit any odors from the asphalt mix. Additionally, the surface of fully cured asphalt won’t deform under any pressure.
