"I can honestly say working with One Stop Pavers has truly been a great and refreshing experience in getting our driveway done. Eloy and his team are true professionals. The cost was fair, but most importantly, the advice and guidance Eloy provided were what made the difference. He gave suggestions based on his experiences with other customers and not for profit. The driveway looks great! He also advised not to worry if settling of pavers is noticed, as this is normal. He said he would fix any settling noticed soon after the project was done. As he said, we asked him to take a look at a couple of areas that settled within a month or so, and they came out and fixed the problem. I will definitely call on Eloy and One Stop Pavers for future projects!"

"It was a pleasure having Phil and his crew create a masterpiece of a driveway. My husband and I had a vision and when we met with Phil for the 1st time between his suggestions and our needs, the crew made the vision come to life. All of our neighbors have complimented on the beautiful driveway. We are so happy with their work that we highly recommend Suncoast Concrete if your thinking of having a driveway done. They were on time, very detailed, cleaned up after themselves and followed through with the process to a T. Definitely 10 out of 10. Thank you again, Phil!"

"I recently hired Pave USA for a concrete driveway installation at my property in West Palm Beach, and I am beyond impressed with the results. From start to finish, the team provided outstanding service, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. First off, the customer service was top-notch. The team was friendly, professional, and took the time to answer all of my questions during the initial consultation. They helped me choose the best concrete option for my driveway, explaining the benefits and different finishes available. When it came to the actual work, Pave USA exceeded all my expectations. The crew arrived on time, were incredibly efficient, and paid attention to every detail. They prepped the site thoroughly, ensuring a solid foundation and the finished product is smooth, level, and looks fantastic. The craftsmanship is exceptional, and it’s clear they used high-quality materials that will last for years to come. I also appreciated the team’s punctuality and cleanliness— they made sure to keep the work area tidy, and they were respectful of my property throughout the entire project. The job was completed on schedule, with minimal disruption, and at a very fair price considering the high level of service provided. If you’re in the West Palm Beach area and need concrete services, I highly recommend Pave USA. Their professionalism, skill, and dedication to customer satisfaction are unmatched. I’ll definitely be using them for any future concrete work!"

"I needed an estimate and the owner (John) needed to look at the driveway. He came later that day and gave me a very competitive estimate. We made a deal and scheduled a date to do the job. The crew arrive in the window that John gave me and got started. If the asphalt plant and traffic would have been cooperating they would have been done in 4-5 hr.. the job is better than I expected the crew was professional and I’am very happy. Thanks Jhon"

"The roofing company that I hired damaged the driveway of my rental property. I needed to find someone to repair the damage and hired Labrada based on reviews. It was an absolutely magnificent experience. He is a true professional. He repaired the driveway in one day and kept me informed by sending me messages and pictures, since he knew I was out of town and couldn’t go to the property. I will definitely hire him again!"

"Tod and his crews were extremely professional and punctual. He initially designed and installed landscaping for the front. This included removing the grass lawn and incorporating art pieces into the design. Once it was finished we sat on our front porch more in one month than in the entire decade we have lived in the house. We did not plan on doing the back so soon but were so pleased with the front we used funds we were saving to update our kitchen to do the back. This effort included replacing a concrete patio with pavers along with the landscaping and minor lighting.

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

While paving a driveway is possible to do as a DIY project, we don’t recommend it. Hiring a driveway professional to pave it will ensure that your driveway looks neat and clean and lasts for years to come, and it will also prevent a weak driveway and, potentially, damage to your foundation. Paving a driveway requires heavy machinery, and while you can rent the equipment needed, operating it close to your garage slab or around your home’s foundation can crack it and lead to structural issues.

When hiring an asphalt paving contractor to install your driveway, ask as many questions up front as possible. Here are a few questions to ask a prospective driveway contractor:

  • How many years of experience do you have?

  • Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

  • Do you have worker’s compensation?

  • Do you use subcontractors on your projects?

  • Do you clean up after the job is done?

  • Who is responsible for any damage to lawn or landscaping?

  • Do you provide a guarantee or warranty on your work?

  • Do you give free estimates?

  • What is the timeline for completion?

  • How do you handle change orders?

  • Can you provide at least three references?

  • Can I see some of the work you’ve done?

While the specific timeline for building a driveway can vary based on driveway length and local weather conditions, the average concrete driveway can require several days to lay down all of the different parts of the driveway. The curing process may require you to avoid using your driveway for a week following construction. Heavier vehicles should be kept off of a new concrete driveway for several weeks. Building a gravel driveway may take just one to two days in total.

In terms of durability, concrete driveways can last more than 50 years when properly maintained, compared to the typical 30 years for an asphalt driveway. However, the durability depends on the climate, base material and thickness, and thickness of the concrete or asphalt used. The longevity of concrete or asphalt driveways also depends on how well it’s maintained and the amount of wear and tear it endures.

While some areas may allow for a slope of up to 20%, this is often the maximum slope for driveways, with a few exceptions of up to 25%. Other regions may have a maximum of 12%, 15%, or 18%, so check with your local building department to ensure you’re laying a driveway that is up to code for your location.
