"I called ProPlumbing in the AM and they agreed to come out same day. In between when I called and when they came out, Lowes installed a washer and flooded by condo from top to bottom. As a result the water to my entire condo was shut off. When ProPlumbing came, I asked if they could replace the valve and get the water back on then fix the shower issue. They didn't have time. I completely understood. I also understood that I would need to pay for the service call. All was good. Then the plumber had to call the "office" who told him he needed to look at the shower head - even though absolutely nothing could be done because my unit flooded and all the water was shut down. He literally "looked" at it for about 30 seconds and commented that it was old. He then said that would be an additional $100. Naturally I complained vehemently and he agreed to just charge the fee for the service call, but could not give the Angie's List discount because no other work was done. While he was here he also looked at, without my requesting, the plumbing under the sink. He laughed saying it was not installed properly and it's old. After he left I had another plumber come in who took care of the shower issue for $20 plus a service call and said the piping under the sink is old and not the latest-and-greatest, but there is nothing wrong with it unless it causes a problem."
