"Element Repair and Remodeling is a excellent company . His work is perfection. The carport was so great, that we hired him to fix our insulated door and our railings at both doors, that were destroyed during hurricane Ian. I would hire Element Repair and Remodeling again for any large or small projects. Reasonable prices and very honest and reputable."

"Called them to reenforce my gates to my fence that were sagging. They were prompt to get to the house to complete the job. Though I was not satisfied with the repair initially, they addressed my concerns and came out a second time and exceeded my expectations. Much happier with operational gates that close properly and don't sag."

"Steven is a one man show. He performed the many tasks we proposed to him with efficiency and too notch quality. He found answers for every repair we gave him. He even repaired a few things without charging us extra money for them. This young man, who has a pleasant personality, is a go getter. He cleaned all the areas where repairs took place, even mopping at times. We found out that Steven also does remodeling etc. We really needed to get these repairs completed quickly and Steven contacted us immediately. We highly recommend Steven to all thise who may need his services. Thank you Steven for jobs well done."

"Paul responded promptly to my request for service. He came out right away to address a door that wouldn't;t close properly. Turned out he needed to take the latch keeper back to his shop to file it down and voila! the door stays closed now! I am very happy with the fix, the price and the excellent service overall!"

Mailbox Repair questions, answered by experts

The cost to repair leather furniture typically ranges from $100 to $400, with an average of around $250. A minor repair, such as a small scratch or tear, may cost between $100 and $150. However, larger, more complex repairs, including total reupholstery, can cost $4,000 or more. The final price depends on several factors, including the type of repair, the extent of the damage, the quality of the leather, the furniture's build and maintenance level, and whether additional repairs are needed for the structure or padding. A leather repair specialist can provide a precise estimate based on your specific project.

If you’re looking for a reputable furniture repair company, the best-case scenario is getting a referral from a trusted friend or family member. However, you can also ask local furniture repair companies about the following points to determine their experience and quality of work:

  • Warranty for structural repairs

  • Positive online reviews and Better Business Bureau (BBB) ratings

  • Number of years of experience

  • Specific expertise with fixing your type of furniture

  • Ability to carry out on-site repairs to avoid damage during relocation

Black stains appear on wood furniture when the surface comes in contact with water and metal for an extended time. It creates a chemical reaction that stains your wood black. Products that contain oxalic acid can remove these stains. Its bleach-like qualities can reverse the stains after a few rounds of application.

This depends on the furniture. It’s certainly fine for wood, metal, or composite materials to get wet. The same cannot be said for affiliated cushions and coverings. Many of these adjacent items claim to be water-resistant, but poorly-made accessories take longer to dry, leaving plenty of time for mold to grow. Keep an eye on how your furniture stands up to rain before going in with a pressure washer.

If you don’t want to purchase furniture sliders, there are several household items that can be used as makeshift sliders. Thick towels or blankets placed under furniture legs can reduce friction and make it easier to slide the furniture without causing damage to the floor. Additionally, plastic or paper plates can be placed under each leg for easy sliding. You can also cut up pieces of a cardboard box to slide beneath the legs of the furniture.
