"We had a inspection done due to the house is in yhr middle of a sale. Inspection came back with the water heater wasn't installed properly and carbon monoxide reading we not safe. We had this installed a year ago from a handyman , that wasn't very handy at all. Anyway Carol read the report and took care of what was needed. He was very professional and polite knew what he was doing. I would have him back if I have another plumbing issue."

"Bluefrog Plumbing + Drain of Brandon comes highly recommended! We called them after we discovered a clog in our sink. We needed their expert plumber to make an emergency visit to complete these repairs. We feel relieved now that this “to do” is removed from our list. We will be using them for all of our plumbing needs. If you are in a plumbing bind, definitely check them out."

"Had the entire landscaped yard front & back (no grass) refreshed with new plants and new trees installed. Peter was on the job and worked throughtout, and oversaw the crews work. Peter fixed the irrigation system and also added extra drains. They also layed shell and rock throughout the entire yard. Very happy with the results and would highly recommend Peter and his crew known as the Green Hornet."

"Two very hard working young men showed up, did the job and asked if I wanted to inspect their work several times during the job. The workers were very pleasant and took extra steps to make sure the house was not messed up during the job, they opened the slab, replaced a 30 year old shower drain and trap and closed it up in less than 3 hours. they offered advise on how to finish my new shower and gave me some great local fishing tips. All this and they stayed under the estimate and did a great job. I'm very picky when it comes to having work done on my house and I would have this crew work on my house any time. This is the plumber you are looking for."

French Drains questions, answered by experts

If you've discovered a rather frightening buildup of brown and black gunk below your shower cover, you're not alone. The smelly sludge is often a collection of mildew and biofilm. Biofilm comes from the breakdown of soap scum, hair, skin cells, and bacteria that collects during shower time. It's quite common in a humid space and relatively easy to clean with a gentle DIY cleaning solution such as baking soda and vinegar.

No. You should dispose of all oil-based finishing products through a local hazardous waste program. Not only can oil-based finishes be hazardous for the environment if disposed of in the sink, but they can cause clogs in your pipes and stop up your drains. Most municipal garbage or waste disposal companies have a specific location or pick-up schedule for hazardous materials, so that’s your best bet to get rid of excess finishing products.

If you want to avoid using a snake to unclog a drain, or if you don’t have one, try vinegar and baking soda. Pour 1 cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by 1 cup of white vinegar. Wait for 15 minutes, and then run hot water (but not boiling water) down the drain to see if the clog is clear. Repeat multiple times as needed.

As a preventative measure, hydro jetting should be done every one to two years. However, the best practice is to hydro jet your sewer line once per year. The ideal frequency depends on several factors, including the age and condition of your pipes, how prone they are to clogging, how often the sewer line is used, and the type of waste disposed of in the system. If you frequently experience clogs or are unsure, it's best to ask a licensed plumber for a recommendation specific to your plumbing system.

Drain clearing removes debris and clogs from drain pipes enough to allow water to drain properly. On the other hand, drain cleaning removes all of the material from the pipe so that water flows unrestricted, which is a longer-term solution. Your plumbing pro will be able to recommend the right service depending on the clog size, frequency of issues, and surrounding pipework.
