"Searching for a reliable company to install a new AC for my son. Blue Bear was one of many to contact me. Spoke directly with the owner Mike. With a newborn and hot humid days this needed to be done. Because of the need to get this done Mike requested a couple pictures and gave us a reasonable estimate and the ability to do it the next morning. He held study with his pricing. Crew sent and they did an excellent clean job. Communication, work and price never wavered. So far the experience has been top notch with customer service being a priority. Thanks again."

"Contractor provided excellent consultation on the type of upgrades and improvements we wanted to make during our project. Jeff was excellent at suggesting improvements to our bathroom shower, entrance and new vanity and cabinets. He offered excellent contractors that we used for new granite countertops for kitchen and bath areas. He also met us at Floor and Decor store and assisted our selection of new bathroom tile and flooring that was used to replace our ugly old carpet in our living room, dining room and hallway areas. Contractor coordinated scheduling of tile, cabinet, plumbing and countertop installations with all sub contractors selected for our project. We are extremely happy with the results of their work!"

"I am extremely pleased with the remodel of my master bathroom, by Gilbert Design Build. The entire process was smooth, professional and very high quality of workmanship. It was a pleasure to work with Fernando the designer & he was spot on with the redesign of the bathroom & made excellent suggestions on colors, countertops, cabinetry etc. Justin the project manager was on top of daily schedules & seamless coordinated workers & supplies in a timely manner. Justin also communicated with me on a regular basis & always returned calls/ messages. Jesse did excellent work with installation of cabinetry & other items related to the project. Jesse has a positive “can do” attitude when faced with an unforeseen variation & always consulted with me on any adjustments and always got the job done, Everyone associated with this project where true professionals, polite, respectful and always left everything cleaned up both inside & out."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

On average, a bathroom fan lasts between five and ten years. The fan's lifespan depends on its quality, installation, and frequency of use. You can extend its life with regular cleaning and by promptly addressing any issues. Common signs that you need a new fan include mold growth, a burning smell, unusually loud noises during operation, or lingering odors in the bathroom. If your fan is no longer working as well as it once did, consider replacing it. The cost to install a new bathroom fan is typically between $240 and $550.

You should generally avoid using WD-40 on a ceiling fan. While it might quiet a squeak temporarily, it is primarily an anti-corrosion and water displacement agent, not a true lubricant, and can damage the fan's components over time. Most modern ceiling fans have sealed bearings and do not require oiling, so a squeak may indicate another issue. For fans that do require lubrication, it is better to use a light machine oil, 30-weight motor oil, or a lubricant specifically designed for ceiling fans.

Before committing to this new project, you’re likely weighing the pros and cons of attic fans. The good news is that typical roof vents can only ventilate 150 to 300 square feet per unit, whereas a single attic fan can circulate enough air to vent an entire attic. By moving large volumes of air within and out of the attic space, an attic fan can lower the temperature by 15 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit and reduce moisture to prevent mold and mildew.

Yes, you can lubricate a ceiling fan without taking it apart. Ensure the fan is off and clean any dust around the motor area before lubricating. Apply several drops of machine oil to the top of the motor housing where the shaft enters or via the oil ports if available. Regular lubrication helps maintain smooth operation and reduces noise. If your fan lacks an accessible oil port, it may require disassembly or professional maintenance.

Attic and whole-house fans improve a home's energy efficiency and comfort. They ventilate hot air from the attic, which reduces peak cooling loads, lowers reliance on air conditioning, and decreases indoor temperatures. This improved air circulation and expedited heat exit helps lower cooling costs, balance moisture levels, and enhance overall natural airflow, contributing to the efficient operation of other home equipment.
