Customers say: True professional

"Kasey and his team did a project for our condominium. They removed weeds around the pool area, installed weed barrier and filled it with Alabama rocks. Despite some hiccups during the process, Kasey went far and beyond to make sure the project was executed on the highest level. He handled everything in a professional manner. Kasey was in touch with us constantly to make sure his team met our condominium’s expectations. Highly recommend Kasey and his company for your future projects 👍😊👏"

"2/2022: We were in need of a tree trimming service (mainly from our neighbor's trees encroaching on our property). Action Enterprises of Pensacola was the first to respond from the recommendations of Angie's List. I am glad that we went with them. The free quote that Danny provided was very reasonable. Danny told me exactly what his crew was capable of doing and they did exactly what we contracted for and a wee bit more. Danny and his crew arrived within the agreed upon timeframe and got right to work with all of the equipment needed to tackle the job. They were very pleasant, quite funny and extremely professional. I am very pleased with the finished job. Thank you Danny Alvare and your crew of Action Enterprises of Pensacola for a job WELL DONE! I highly recommend them. Thank you again guys! Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Asphalt and tarmac are not the same thing. Traditional tarmac, short for tarmacadam, uses tar as a binder to hold crushed stone together. Asphalt uses bitumen—a byproduct of crude oil—to bind aggregate. Though tarmac was once a go-to for roads, asphalt has become the modern standard. And these days, most surfaces referred to as “tarmac” are actually asphalt. So, while the names may overlap, the key distinction lies in the binder—tar for tarmac and bitumen for asphalt.

By grading and compacting the base soil, ensuring proper drainage and stability.

You can expect your asphalt pavement to last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, or 25 years on average. The life expectancy of your asphalt driveway depends on the climate, the amount of traffic, and how well you maintain it. While you can’t necessarily control some of these factors, you can control the amount of maintenance effort you put into your driveway.

To prevent your asphalt from deteriorating prematurely, you should follow a good maintenance routine involving regular cleaning, reparation work, and resealing.

There’s no single best asphalt grade—it all comes down to where and how it’s used. Highways and heavy-traffic roads need something tough, like polymer-modified asphalt (PMA) or Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA). Local roads and parking lots rely on the Performance Graded (PG) system, chosen based on climate. A PG 64-28 mix, for example, handles a broad temperature range while simpler, more cost-effective mixes are typically enough for residential driveways. The best grade of asphalt depends on traffic, weather, and your budget, which is why a professional’s input is always a smart move before making a decision.

Asphalt, which is stone mixed with tar, is the most common material for outdoor basketball courts because it’s so sturdy and versatile. However, you don't have to use it: another option is polymeric rubber, which has shock pads that can prevent injury. This option is a little more expensive, ranging between $16 and $25 per square foot.

Materials used for indoor basketball courts, such as hardwoods, aren’t really an option outdoors.
