"I subbed this job out to Jef. My company is Goodfellas, Painting and Maintenance SERVICES. He did an outstanding job for my customer. ! I would highly recommend Jef for all of your big drywall or small drywall repairs ! this repair was done on the 16 foot vaulted ceiling so he had to set up scaffolding as well !! The area that he did you cannot even see the patchwork in there the knockdown blends in perfectly"

"Rodney was extremely professional and detailed. He was even able to come out on a Sunday. Was quick to respond, polite and knowledgeable. We needed two things done, a large window and door framed out with drywall and joint compound. Price was very reasonable and quality of work was great. I would highly recommend him and his company!"

"Went above and way beyond for a very good price. A drywall section under skylights had been damaged by hurricane Matthew. I took popcorn away but didn't want to do the taping and compound and sanding. During that job, Jerry realised one side had more water damage under the drywall. In the end, everything is fixed, Jerry even finished and painted. I do recommend hiring. I appreciated the fact he started early at 7:30am since his schedule allowed it. :)"

"Very professional with excellent work... I will not call them for future projects... After they cleaned and left, we found paint and drywall compound on furniture and artwork... some were difficult to clean!"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $500 to $5,000, depending on damage size, labor, and finishing requirements.

Which style of corner bead you choose—whether metal or paper-faced—depends on your preference and if you’re comfortable using metal-cutting tools and a hammer. Metal bead offers superior strength and durability but its installation is slightly more involved. We’d say for most cases, it’s better to use metal bead but if you’re not comfortable working with metal, paper-faced bead will work just fine.

Your walls are likely cracking due to fluctuations in the temperature outside. Drywall tends to expand and contract when temperatures and humidity levels change, and this repeated movement can lead to cracks in your walls, particularly around door frames. If you have multiple diagonal cracks, you may want to have your foundation inspected, as cracks can also be a sign of a bigger issue.

You do not need to drywall over most types of garage insulation. However, doing so can increase noise reduction, make the space more attractive, and keep children and pets from touching harmful fiberglass insulation. If you’re using cellulose or some other type of blown-in insulation (fiberglass and mineral wool are common), you will need drywall to contain the insulation material.

A jigsaw is commonly used to cut holes in drywall. It offers versatility and precision, making it suitable for creating circular or irregular openings. When equipped with the right blade, a jigsaw can swiftly and cleanly cut through drywall, making it a good choice for DIY projects.
