"In June I received bids and decided on Rodney Lewis. He was the highest bid, but I thought I was getting what I paid for. It was decided that I would move out of the house during the work. I paid a deposit of $2500 by Zelle. We agreed in writing and verbally that my son would inspect the work and pay additional funds. There was one room inaccessible at the time, so Rodney agreed to 30 days before completing the work in this room. He completed the work on the ceilings, except the closets and additional room, but he didn't plug holes, texture, even remove switch plates. The painting is very poor quality and definitely needs at least another coat... not to mention the texture that wasn't done. He convinced my neighbor to pay him in full while I was gone, saying we agreed to that, and has not returned to do anything more. He left my house in such a disaster, including construction materials in the bathtub and cleaning paint brushes in my new kitchen sink, that I was unable to return to my home until I hired someone to help clean up his mess. I expressed my dissatisfaction and suggested he correct the painting situation with his return in a month. I thought I was being nice by saying he could start after Labor Day weekend, meaning he didn't need to work the holiday. He used that as an excuse to not return. I am elderly and handicapped, so I will also be pursuing those legal options, as well as the BBB and Contractor License Board"
