"We had water entering our home in our main bedroom and closet when it rained. Lux came in and had to dig another French drain and seal the outside of our home and create another place for the water to drain away from our home. They did a great job, but our situation was so bad, they had to come back out and add more to seal the home and also removed dirt and replaced it with sand to help drain the water from around the home. All the work they did when they came back was included in the warranty they gave us with the original quote. They also came back quickly after our call and have done an excellent job. "

Most exterior masonry work done in freezing temperatures tends to cost more because of the preparation and protection involved to keep the masonry from freezing before the mortar cures properly. The best tool for drilling into brick or mortar is a rotary hammer drill which is a large hammer drill with low rotation speed and high torque. Regular drills with a hammer function are also excellent tools for drilling into brick when the diameter of the hole is 1/2 inch or less. Then, remove the leftovers with a mild cleaner, such as dish soap or vinegar mixed with water. Before applying a cleaning solution, saturate the bricks with clean water to prevent the cleaner from penetrating beyond the surface and causing structural damage to the bricks.
